  1. Flitting between thinking this is madness and booking myself a hotel...
  2. Largely food and drink service, but also generally being unorganised and a bit chaotic. All adding up to a feeling that the event was not worth anything like the money paid for it. Villa Park as a concert venue will obviously competing with other large arenas in the area which are much more established for this type of event, so real effort will be needed from the club if they see this as a permanent means of generating income EDIT: just to add to this, one person told me that the general experience of the Springsteen gig was absolutely lightyears behind that of gigs at the Ricoh
  3. Have heard nothing but negative feedback from the various people I know who have gone to gigs at the stadium this summer, largely for reasons that we would all recognise. If the club wants to maintain this as a revenue stream long term (and justify the vast price increases in match day tickets over the past few seasons), they really need to put some work into improving facilities and the general experience within the stadium
  4. None of them are Fowler than Gerrard though
  5. Tbh literally anything other than a standalone lion. Can't think of a single simplified standalone club crest that I think looks good
  6. I really hope we don't end up with a stand alone lion
  7. He's not getting picked over Dougie any time soon in this scenario, but luckily for SJM our midfield is much less stacked with dishy chaps than the defence
  8. I've worked in Wolves for five years and still occasionally struggle to understand the locals. I suppose you might say the two accents are a bit like French and Italian, related and mutually comprehensible to a degree
  9. True enough, but I can't see Unai changing his system to a back five on that basis alone
  10. No idea, but almost certainly has to go down as one of our worst value signings ever. No fault of his own, was signs that he was adapting to the PL but that injury completely finished him off at the top level
  11. He's just come back from a year struggling in the Spanish second division, no one is paying a couple of million for him
  12. This would make sense as Handsworth is pretty much half way between Villa Park and the Hawthorns. You generally wouldn't find many Blues fans in areas north of the city centre, while a lot of areas towards the west of the city (Handsworth, Great Barr, Quinton etc) tend to be a mix of Villa and Albion, that is amongst people support local teams anyway. You're more likely to find Blues fans in areas to the south and east of the city - Northfield, Longbridge, Chelmsley Wood, Stechford etc. would be areas I'd say you'd find the highest concentration of SHA supporters. The rest of the city beyond that is a bit of a mix really, when I was living around King's Heath and Stirchley, it seemed to be a fairly even split of Villa and Blues
  13. Was Leeds under Bielsa, pretty sure it was before a game against Derby which gave the fixture a bit of edge when they met in then play offs, which in turn arguably helped us get promoted! Still don't think we'd have beaten Leeds in the play off final
  14. This is fascinating and terrifying in equal measure Obvious joke being that as Oasis spent their whole career writing the same song over and over again, it makes them an easy group for AI to replicate
  15. Growing up in Sutton in the 90s it was almost exclusively Villa fans, with a smattering of glory supporters following Man Utd, and to a much lesser degree Liverpool. I knew more WBA fans than Blues fans and honestly can't ever recall meeting a Wolves fan in my life until I started working there a few years ago. I'd say that a clear majorities of football fans in Sutton, Erdington and Kingstanding are Villa, perhaps up to 75%. It's a lot less clear cut in other parts of the city and as others have pointed out, the more ethnically diverse inner city areas will now have lots of glory supporters of Sky 6 clubs. You'll find more Villa fans in areas which are traditionally more Blues-leaning, than you will Blues fans in Villa areas
  16. Had absolutely no idea these were still being made, nor that there were so many series of them. Just looked and the fact it moved from Channel 4 to Netflix after two series would explain it I guess
  17. I've read some bad takes on VT over the years, and this one is right up there with some of the very worst tbh
  18. Even better, the random bloke on Twitter was a Villa fan as well
