  1. Its very interesting. Definitely more desirable than us at the moment (wages, PL status being relatively secure, and high profile manager) but there's not many players in that Everton squad that I would want at Villa.
  2. Blimey, I mentioned him a while ago because I saw that both him and his twin brother were going to cost a combined £20-25 mil. There are absolute value bargains and snipes out there, which is why I am surprised at those we are continually being rumored at looking at thru the overpriced Championship market
  3. This type of thinking is what gets republicans elected to national office. Whilst I think saying that the difference is between understanding things and not would be pretty disrespectful to 'middle America'. They just have a vastly different way of life to those of us who live in suburban areas. I grew up right outside DC and then went to college in very rural southern VA. Just the difference in way of life and how people acted was astounding.
  4. Nixon again speculating that we could be spending about 100 mil again
  5. the quotes from the article make me think that he is firmly looked upon by southgate as a "winger" and not an out and out midfielder. Which is bad for Jack's England hopes because he isn't an out and out winger. Agreed with your last point, that even if Jack moved to United, he's not going to be playing out wide 100% of the time and that just hurts his chances.
  6. this is interesting. Could this actually work to scupper any Man United interest?
  7. Woah if this is actually true. End of an era potentially
  8. Edouard Batshuayi Origi in that order
  9. Do you think that Struijk is enough cover personally? According to wiki he's only played 5 senior games with you.... seems pretty risky. I mean we have 4 senior center backs for villa and there's talk about adding to the room (and that doesn't include u-23 guys). And with Berardi, that is definitely a shame. Didn't it happen in the Derby game?
  10. They're after Robin Koch, a center back from Freiburg. Would assume that goes through as Ben White won't. I actually caught a bit of their Athletic writer talking about Bielsa and his style — side note, he seems miles better than our current one . Apparently many have felt like they have needed another center back since he's been there and he came out and publicly said they didn't. If that's the case, they would be screwed as they only would have 2 center backs. (he's fine with Luke Ayling, a RB, as cover for there which i think is ridiculous).
  11. So CBS now has the CL rights over here. The team of analysts they have on the broadcast is Jamie Carragher, Roberto Martinez (he has a lot of analyst gigs), and Micah Richards. With Jenas on commentary
  12. iirc he was the one who broke the McGinn story.
  13. Also read somewhere that it could have also been to help them avoid paying a sell on to Plymouth as well.
  14. I have a few relatives whom are avid fans of him and keep trying to sway me on voting for him. Its absolute bonkers. I also live closeish to DC, and have family up in rural PA. Went to visit them the other week and for every Biden sign I saw (about 3 or 4), there were at least 25 Trump signs/flags/stickers.
  15. still feel like we would be a bit short up top. Also think that there are other keepers out there that would represent better value for money than Reina.
  16. My take on our center back situation. I wouldn't turn down an opportunity to for sure upgrade at the back. But but that token, upgrading there would mean that we are spending probably £25M + on a new CB, which in turn likely takes away some of our transfer budget for areas of more need (striker, winger, midfield). Oh and signing Tuanzebe would not be an upgrade, that would be a sideways move and IMO a waste of money. We don't need another body in the position just for the sake of it.
  17. Fair enough, I definitely think that Milot moving here could pose some problems (but he will have his mate Nakamba here). I don't know that I would say that someone who's played (and been 'proven') at a higher level would be more of a gamble. FWIW I think both would be gambles but one we would need to take.
  18. That would be an interesting link. Thought he was superb filling in for Leno when he got injured.
