  1. has been the weakest link in the midfield for a while now. & Gerrard's made him captain. Utterly baffling, and I don't see any leadership on the pitch from him. I liked SJM the player, but he just isn't good enough to be starting for us now. otherwise we won't be able to drastically improve
  2. Thanks for the winner at Old Trafford, Kourtney, it won’t be forgotten for a while. Also quite the dependable center back on his day
  3. Think Garner would be an interesting prospective signing. Really good in the championship last year, and really should be in that Manchester midfield
  4. Just from this weekend: Leeds & Marsch look great. Clear style and their transfer business backed that up Arsenal kept with the plan despite some issues, as they could see visible progress Spurs sacked their manager who was clearly out of his depth and got in an outstanding coach Brighton have a clear plan and philosophy and despite losing 2 of their key players, don't seem like it's affect them. Just buying quality replacements Fulham and Silva look like they won't be in any relegation trouble so far. Palhinha probably would be our best cm by far Brentford: see Brighton. Absolutely great transfer and succession strategy Newcastle: Howe comes in and changes the club around, and don't go around splashing the new money on shiny new signings who might be past it Palace: Viera has changed the culture at that club for the last year. Bringing in new signings, young and talented players and integrating them through the squad] We want to see similar with Gerrard, but yet he hasn't shown any of this (despite some of these managers coming in after him). No discernable style of play except bombing forward fullbacks leaving us exposed. A transfer strategy which has drastically increased our wage bill. Making the problem of our midfield for the past few seasons the captain and therefore undroppable, along with playing a similar midfielder, exposing the exact same midfield issues we had last year. Oh, and publicly stripping the captaincy off our only outfield player who has shown to be a leader and is vocal. I fail to see any progress, and if i'm honest, I see more of a regression from when he came into the club at the middle of last year.
  5. It’s like we upgraded/replaced the part of midfield that didn’t need fixing / wasn’t the problem.
  6. this makes zero sense. We already have too many attacking players, why sign another one?
  7. Honestly don't know if we've seen Luiz & Sanson together but man I want to see Sanson/Kamara/Luiz at least once
  8. In no particular order, some that would highly interest me Poch Potter Emery Gallardo Marco Rose Sérgio Conceição Rúben Amorim
  9. I really think I'd rather play Hause every game than him. at least Hause has a recognizable positive in his game
  10. I voted out. Am I swayed because of the utter dross served up today? Yes, absolutely. In reality, I still feel on the fence, but I just don't understand any of his decisions. McGinn as captain is up there with one of the worst decisions I've seen a Villa manager make McGinn & Ramsey together for 3 straight games with similar issues -- we had the exact same issue last year with our midfield and we only replaced the guy who wasn't the issue (I don't think that's a bad thing, but it exposes the same problems over and over again) Konsa playing. Has been utter tripe for the good part of a year and he is still starting. Tactics. I have zero clue the way which we want to play after 10 months except that we leave our fullbacks extremely high up and exposed. Public comments just seem extremely abrasive and not conducive to a good locker room
  11. Again, Ramsey & McGinn together doesn't allow for any real ball control or posession
  12. this is the problem with McGinn & Ramsey starting together. We have no control or ball retention in midfield.
  13. Needs to go on loan -- getting consistent senior level minutes which I think is very important
  14. Uh, no they aren't. They are in 5th currently
