  1. I compared him to Hendrie due to the fact that they both had tough starts to their Villa career (Hendrie getting sent off on his debut) and currently it looks like Jack isn't going to fulfill his potential, which in my opinion Hendrie didn't.
  2. I suggested that he should be loaned out at the start of the season and got shot down. Today's "effort" was pathetic frankly. It may be his style, but he has no urgency and slows down attacks. His use of the ball was dreadful as well. He wasn't the only one, but he has hardly contributed this season (Leicester goal and sub appearance v SHA aside) I wouldn't have him near the first team at the moment. Get him out to a Championship team so that he can get used to it for next season.
  3. If we get him it would be a great start to the window and should help us attract some other quality players. To be honest though, we need a big injection of creativity from midfield as currently, we wont create enough chances for him.
  4. Not sure we'd get Walters seen as he signed a new deal with Stoke last month http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11701/10059567/jonathan-walters-secures-new-deal-with-stoke-city
  5. Too many backwards passes which put us under unnecessary pressure. He's not the enforcer that we need in the team and doesn't have good enough distribution to warrant a starting place.
  6. Totally agree with this. Heavy pitch and we only used one sub. Sanchez for either Adama/Gil to run at their tired defence would've been interesting. Think we've let a chance to get a win slip today
  7. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11706/10102129/crystal-palace-deal-agreed-by-american-businessmen Come on Randy, there's people out there. Get us sold please
  8. I think it helps that we've seen a steady decline for years and it's not coming as a massive shock. If we had made a great start and then gone on an awful run and got relegated on the final day it would be completely different. As it stands, we have plenty of time to get used to the idea of playing Championship football. I've never known anything other than Premier League football, but based on the last 3-4 seasons, I can't say I'll miss it. As others have said, at least we will win more games and hopefully come straight back up again.Ask me again this time next season and I might have a different outlook!
  9. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/12049159/Arsenal-and-Tottenham-share-Christmas-party-at-London-nightclub.html Gabby enjoying himself down in London with the Arsenal & Spurs players. Is he going to get the Grealish treatment?
  10. Well nobody is going to buy us before the end of the season. Think we'll be stuck with Randolph for at least another 18 months, presuming he won't sell for a loss when we're relegated. He'll just hope that we come straight back up
  11. £24.99 until midnight on the PS Store if anyone wants a cheap game before Christmas
  12. Can't see anything from Southampton and Arsenal, but we need at least two wins from the following three games. 7pts from December would be acceptable for me.
  13. The kid is 20 and has played a handful of games.Think he has time to learn. I would persevere with him wide for the moment though as Ayew looks to be finding his feet up front at the moment. We haven't really got a wide player that offers his unpredictability. Yes he will be poor some weeks, but others he will contribute like Palace away. He's the only player we have that gets people off their seats, which in our current state, isn't a bad thing.
  14. Pretty sure he won't be going to WBA [emoji3]
  15. Not got a problem with players going out after games, but FFS Jack get some decent mates who aren't going to go to the press.
  16. So just because I don't share the same opinion as you, my opinion is bollocks? Kind of defeats the point of having a forum doesn't it?
  17. Massive week for coming up for us. Today's performance is becoming the norm away from home. I don't particularly rate Everton other than Lukaku and Stones, but they brushed us aside with ease. Our defence is just a shambles. We're just far to easy to score against. Think it's a bit early to be saying Watford is a must win considering we're still in November, but we're running out of time
  18. Gym's are nice and warm this time of the year and I'm sure we've got a perfectly adequate one at BMH as well.[emoji6] I get the psychological benefits, but I'm pretty sure if I'd been performing well below my standards for years, my boss wouldn't be saying go and work abroad for a bit to make yourself feel better. Gabby has been awful for far to long and as a fan, I find it slightly insulting that he's not recovering with the rest of the team. They should all be pulling together to get us out of this mess. Just my opinion...... Gyms aren't outdoors. He's a footballer. What do you do? What does my job have anything to do with it? We have indoor pitches at BMH which can be used. We obviously both have different opinions. Let's just leave it at that ey?

  20. Exactly. It would be daft to deny he's abroad. He says so himself. However, it is daft to use a picture of him obviously at night to criticise him for not doing training/rehab. A person can train all day, then go out at night. A person could do 12 hours training and still go out at night. And he's clearly not wasted, or drinking on that picture. Looks like he's just in a restaurant. It would like pulling up a picture of an office work who is abroad on business, eating a meal in the evening and saying 'LOOK THEY'RE CLEARLY NOT DOING WORK' Senseless. Ok I take your point. I will go back to my original point and say that I don't think he should be away on warm weather training. Every new signing raves about how good a facility BMH is. Why go away to recover? Especially as club captain and also considering we have a new manager.
  21. .....what What does my comment have to do with this comment? You were suggesting that I was making things up about Gabby being away. Just showing you the picture to prove otherwise
  22. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-gabby-agbonlahor-more-10468154 Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor in action against Manchester United Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor is still waiting for the chance to end his embarrassing Premier League goal drought which has now entered an eighth month. Villa’s longest-serving player has picked up more yellow and red cards (28) in the last five seasons than he has scored goals (27). It’s a statistic he desperately wants to end but a calf injury sustained in the recent defeat to Tottenham has left him sidelined for the past two weeks meaning that Saturday’s trip to Everton will again pass him by. Goodison Park is a special ground for the 28-year-old as it was where he scored on his debut for Villa way back in 2006. And some still say he deserves a place in the side? At least he's working hard at BMH to get himself fit ASAP, instead of going abroad for some warm weather training Oh....
