  1. It was only because Sawiris got angry at Fulham, and Gerrard would still be in charge if it was up to Purslow. Purslow would definitely have waited until it was too late, and maybe already did considering the games we have coming up. I’m not sure if you’re being tongue in cheek or sarcastic, but had this fool acted earlier we could have had some much needed points on the board already. The guy messed up, and he needs to own it,
  2. No villains today lads. Guy is having a torrid time. So long as he isn’t the teachers pet anymore, let’s give the guy some love and encourage him to come good again.
  3. Unbelievable performances all over the pitch. So hard to pick a MOTM, but Bailey's two unbelieveable contributions so early is what set the tone for me, and he's had such a hard time, he gets my vote. But honestly, any one of them couldve had it. The answer was so damn simple. Just take the pressure of those not performing by using your damn squad. McGinn and JJ have been pretty dire all season, just give them a rest for the love of God, and that buffoon may still have had a job.
  4. That would be the best bit of business ever. Getting paid twice for this joker.
  5. I want to cry tears of Joy. Purslow got a sour face on. Bailey been superb. Buendia playing his part, but not even in top gear yet - wait for him to get into his groove!
  6. Please please please please please let us dominate and win, becuase I've been so damn sure that something like this team selection was all that was needed to fix our problems.
  7. Really? it’s been expected for weeks.
  8. I have no hatred towards him. Wanted him to succeed. I feel sad that he failed in such spectacular fashion - because it’s affected my club. He didn’t do anything ‘wrong’ other than be shit. He remained respectful until the end, and I wish him well. Deserved the sack, doesn’t deserve any nastiness. it’s like giving a child the keys to your Lambo and then wondering why he crashed it. I am MUCH more angry at the idiot(s) that sacked Smith to appoint a **** rookie. I’m MUCH more angry at the idiot(s) who allowed him to get us into a situation where any decent manager is not likely to tarnish their reputation with what looks like a squad ready for relegation. Should’ve been fired 6 weeks ago, when it was obvious to EVERYONE that he was in way over his head.
  9. An awful, awful appointment. He wasn’t even the bloody coach. Paying him £6m a year to be Beale’s boss, who then left, so we were paying him £6m a year to be Critchley’s boss. Heads should roll.
  10. Thug

    Douglas Luiz

If he goes down clutching his own head then neither player gets booked. He got out-foxed. Needs to be more Street wise
  11. I want to see Sanson too. But I genuinely believe the manager was dragging the players down. However, I respect your opinion.
  12. Every player gets a clean slate. even this guy.
  13. As manager? This gets my vote too
  14. I know he’s not been in the best of form… but a tad harsh? No?
  15. Every single player, clean slate. That clown had no idea what he was doing.
  16. Clean slate just like every other player. There’s a good player in there, and just needs to be utilised properly. Let the new man use him properly.
  17. I’m guessing I’ve stepped into the middle of a conversation and not got the full context. I was basically just responding to that single statement where you said that there is no evidence that he put his mate in charge. Regardless, at the time when he appointed Smith or ‘earmarked’ Lage, Gerrard has been in charge of rangers a couple of months. Basically he was unappointable - not sure what point you’re trying to make there. The ‘hatred’ towards Purslow is based on his failure to do the professional thing and sack his buddy. Now who knows.. maybe there’s a good reason behind it - maybe the compensation package is much lower if he’s sacked at a certain time or certain league position? We’ll never know. But you can’t deny that his failure to do what is needed makes him look amateurish. For the record, I don’t have any hatred towards him. On the whole he’s done a good job. But the longer he drags this out, the more of his good work he undoes. His next managerial appointment is make or break in my opinion.
  18. Apart from the fact that he’s his mate and he got the job, of course.
  19. Most of your points are correct. except: I’d rather have kept Grealish than get £100m for him. We got fleeced by Barcelona for Coutinho rather than vice-versa. Calls for sacking him in this moment in time are obviously a little premature, but if we are involved in a relegation scrap this year, that is 100% on his failure to act.
  20. Just like a manager’s stock rises and falls with their performance, so does the CEO’s. Deano was performing magically, and rightly so was receiving plaudits for it. Then the ‘wheels came off’ and all the good work was forgotten in an instant - and he paid the price. Would/should the CEO be judged by the same yard-stick? Continual improvement? If our revenue starts to stagnate, should we not then say the CEO has reached his ceiling? That we need someone better to push us to that next level? We have declined in our brand of football. Our squad assets are declining by the day with his appointed manager in charge. We are taking huge hits in transfer values of players that he ‘doesn’t fancy’. Aside from Jacob Ramsey, is there any player in our squad who is worth more now than since Gerrard took over? Are we any more attractive as a business now that when Gerrard took over? The appointment has been shambolic. it was a huge gamble that has backfired. We should never have replaced smith with a rookie. Should have been an experienced world renowned manager, or better to have stuck with Smith.
  21. His biggest mistake is not firing him. And this mistake is getting bigger by the day.
  22. That’s not Gerrard-ball That’s Buendia-ball.
