We have sucked for 12 months. And it hasn't been bad luck for 12 months. He's out of his depth and needs to go. But today was bad luck. The Ings header, the Ramsay chance, the Bailey chance. All three should've been goals. Their keeper played a blinder.

Today is just bad luck. Honestly felt we were the better side for most of that match. How on earth we have failed to score is beyond me. Not blaming Gerrard for today at all.

Just two seasons ago he was playing brilliantly. He never had a finishers touch, but he was playing very very well. Earned himself an England call up.

It was a direct response to "you can't sack your way to success" Which suggests you should not sack. Which means that he would stay forever, or he would leave for a better job. No one in their right mind would offer him a better job. Therefore we would keep him forever. So yes, "you can't sack your way to success" is indeed a little extreme.

So why did they sack the previous guy? We're not 2 months in, we're 12 months in. We've gone backwards. He's not shown any intelligence at all, and there aren't even any signs that things are improving. We're now "back to basics" of long balls and "not lose at any cost" football. The whole thing is a joke. The experiment is a failure. He needs to be sacked, and we need to move forward.

This is exactly it. It’s very easy to point the finger at Watkins and say he needs to be tucking one of this chances away. But the point is that he knows just like everyone else what Watkins is good at and what’s he’s not so good at. He is sacrificing a finisher for a worker, because he needs that to make up for other inadequacies because of how the team is laid out.
