  1. But this is the entire problem with FFP. How do you police this? Just get rid of the damn thing. The only fair FFP is that every team gets the same yearly budget to spend on players and wages. Either that, or nothing.
  2. 574 pages in 24 hours and not a fish pun in sight. pretty impressive
  3. And then that will get overturned on appeal. And their points deduction will be done at the end of this year, when they’ve already not won the title, and the points deduction will be calculated in such a way that they will still qualify for the champions league by goal difference above Brighton. Dont underestimate the power of lots and lots of money.
  4. You’re of course right in everything you say there, but you’re forgetting one big point here. When Derby or SHA get points deduction, those rules only apply to the poor teams. No body gave two shits. What is happening at city more than likely has been happening at the other juggernauts. It is in their best interests that any punishment is minimal, because if they ever found themselves in the same boat, they’d want the same minimised slap on the wrist. The real power here is with the other 19 premier league clubs. The outcome will depend on how much muscle they throw in behind the Premier League/FA in gunning down city. Any lack of support basically will tell you they’re pretty much guilty of the same stuff. Without their support, the Premier League are about to get their asses handed back to them on a plate. One thing that the PL will have in the back of their mind will be this Superleague stuff. First Juventus, now Man City. We all know about Barca, and now Chelsea are going to be under every microscope. You go in hard, and you’re soon going to have a situation where you have these giant clubs being thrown out of their respective leagues… with nothing to do… except… Play against each other.
  5. Some lawyers and officials are about to get very very rich, and the Man City wheels will keep turning. That’s about the only outcome that is likely. Everything else is just fantasy
  6. I know we don’t like leeds… But wishing Stevie G on them is taking things a bit far, no?
  7. So he gets assaulted by 2 of their guys, and then when he pushed one back, he gets sent off? wow.
  8. I really don’t understand the mentality of fans sometimes. He had the ball in the net. He played a superb through ball which Watkins should have done better with. If those two are goals instead, he’s a **** hero. Fine margins, and instead he’s utter garbage. The truth is clearly somewhere in between. We have a bunch of posters moaning about squad size and here we want him booted out. You want my opinion? He had a better half than Ramsey.
  9. Work in progress boys. How can anyone expect us to go from dogshit relegation fodder to champions form in the space of a few months? Mistakes will happen, and Emery will iron them out. Slowly. Lets enjoy the ride, and for a change let chances to bitch about something just slide past. Kamara has been nothing short of incredible, yet he was our biggest culprit today. Let it slide. We’re gonna lose the next 2 too. Let those slide too. In 12 months we’re going to be a lot lot better, I promise you.
  10. Utterly brilliant performance. Should’ve had 2 goals and 72 assists.
  11. Freak result. We were easily the better side. Believe it or not, I thoroughly enjoyed that game. Id fall asleep with El Slippero in charge, but even losing 4-2 is enjoyable (although bloody frustrating!)with uncle Em in charge
  12. We will win this game, and he’s gonna score 2
  13. Bruce had his flaws… But that’s exactly what you want to hear. Thinking about the club.
  14. The pair of you make decent points. We never replaced grealish’s position. But getting rid of a player that had scored or assisted 13 goals, and another player that had scored 10 ‘just because’ was a Gerrardism. Im glad Traore is back. Should never have been loaned out in the first place until we knew Bailey was fully settled in. Gerrard should be shot for many things, this was another.
  15. My memory of him at Arsenal was thinking ‘**** me, David Luiz is **** brilliant!’
  16. Nothing. I’d just look him in the eye. oh wait, wrong manager.
  17. Those who live in the world of risk mitigation are never happy. There is always a risk. Yes, it’s a risky game. That we’re playing, not denying that at all. Probably should’ve had a player lined up to replace Ings. But MAYBE they believe that in the event of something happening to Watkins, we have enough in the squad to cover for a few months. Maybe they feel that is less risky than buying one of the players available at double their normal cost. If we can get a loan in that is better than what we have available already, I’m sure we will. But no Coutinhos, and No Baston’s please.
  18. Exactly. Short term thinking led to Coutinho and Digne and Ings. Luckily Ings was good enough to off load without taking too much of a hit. Not so sure we’ll have the same luck with the other two.
  19. Not yet. it’ll only be wrong if it proves to be detrimental. For now, it is neither right nor wrong.
  20. Not at all. I would suggest that if there was an option that wasn’t pants and available, we would take it? Maybe the options available are not considered worthy. Maybe we have a very good deal agreed for the summer? If you go to a bar looking for company, and all that’s there is 2 old ugly birds, do you take one home? Or do u come back next weekend?
  21. I’ll not argue against that. But to loan someone you need them to be available. Baston?
