Emery has a plan. His plan involves players with certain attributes. Sanson doesn’t fit that plan. Ings didn’t fit that plan. Both got moved on. Doesn’t make them bad players, just means we need something different. I’m so happy that we have a manager that has a plan, and doesn’t say ‘course’

There was a parting of the flaps, and then there was the emergence of Hank Scorpio.

Since when have transfermarkt been used as the guide to how much a bid should be made? Probably some random chap no different to me or you making some random numbers up. For example, we just paid £18m for John Duran. They have him valued at £6m. The valuations on tranfermarkt are worthless made up shit. When a player is under contract, the ONLY valuation that matters is the selling clubs valuation (or of course a minimum fee release clause)

Ok destroyed isn’t the right word, but It was a joy to watch. They were camped in their area. Backs to the wall for a team placed in 3rd place against the youngest team in the prem. You have to be impressed. And T hey earned that lucky 90th minute winner. They would have been unlucky not to win that game quite frankly.

To be fair, they absolutely destroyed them. It was a joy to watch.

I’d love to say not a chance in hell… but after my little episode with @Don_Simon re: selling Ings… I’m not saying a word lol.

Not at all. I think the main criticism was he wasn’t getting game time even when we were dogshit under Gerrard. 3 successive managers have failed to give him an extensive run in the team, which at the very least goes to show that he’s no significant upgrade on those starting before him, but more likely to show that there’s nothing in his game that warrants him starting. He needs to move on for his career, and we need to move on with our process. Best all round that he goes and performs for Salzburg so we can at least get Al some kind of fee for him.

I get this, but generally wishing someone would ‘**** off’ implies exactly that you have issues with someone as a person. Otherwise ‘I wish he’d move on’ would suffice, no?

So embarrassing that we plucked a rookie from a shitty league and gave him £5m a year or whatever the hell it was - and find out that he was just the cheerleader all along.
-
I don’t think so. I honestly think that the Newcastle problem might actually finally force a fix.
-
We are where the top top echelon of clubs aspire to be.
-
Gotta be honest.. I’m struggling to see a £30m improvement on Traore

If there’s one thing for sure about this board, no one is scared to put out their opinion. He has a poor game again today in terms of providing service. However, he makes a huge contribution in other ways. Since he’s starting regularly, we have won 5/7. There’s a lot of invisible work that is done that he deserves some credit for. Of course he can be upgraded, but Martinez and Kamara aside, who can’t?

Boubs and… Assambalonga?
-
I know that’s his first start and there’s a lot of acclimatising to be done… But he was a defensive liability I thought.
-
Not even SHA?
-
Even with 2 of him on the pitch…
-
Martinez MOTM. No contest.

That’s the guy I was watching this morning lol

Sorry I meant you *can*

Bizarrely I was watching some YouTube video of some dickhead that basically goes around pissing off the police and business owners quoting exactly that law

Actually it’s not. Thats a mavic mini, under the 250g that means you can’t fly it within 50m of someone. Farcical law.
