Fixing Villa Park - All the small things

The lack of attention to detail even affects the TV screens, which wished us a “save” journey home after the game on Saturday! -
Fixing Villa Park - All the small things

There’s been a piece of insulation (or something that looks like it) protruding above the entrance to McGregor’s on the inside for years and years (the entrance where the trinity goes over the road). It does make you wonder if the facilities and estate people ever leave their offices! -
Expect to have to repeat yourself multiple times.

I’m no fan of the architectural vandal, but the decision was Gregory’s, as confirmed in “The Boss” book.

Personally, I never thought the Holte needed a label. A minority view perhaps. On the other hand, I hope very much for “AV” spelt out in the upper tier of the new stand.

A loan to West Brom then?
-
According to Simon Inglis’s book, the viewing distance to the centre circle is about the same as the San Siro! I think the roof sloping down makes it all a bit claustrophobic up there personally.

A good number on here would blame Brexit probably!

Personally, I am no more concerned that West Ham and Burnley nicked our kit than I am that Australia and New Zealand have the Union Jack in the corner of their flags.

Claret shorts were completely unnecessary tonight because there was no clash and also because we have some blue ones!

What if I told you Jesus actually pays for everyone there.

It’s almost as if professional kit designers and makers know what they are doing. (Not a dig at you, Cap’n!)

Shades of letting Saunders and Atkinson go and giving the stage to Yorke.

Oh hello Alan.

In what sense is the North Stand redevelopment under review? Haven’t Villa just done their review, resulting in the amended planning application?
-
Hopefully a new stand would have a new name!

All this is true. Perhaps what we need now is to embrace more of our history but in a way which shows that it is continuing and being built on. Going on about certain things ends up trivialising it. Even as a history buff I get fed up of reading references in the programme to 1957 and 1982, as if they are the only exciting things which have ever happened. My other pet hate is constantly telling us how many times we’ve won a particular cup every time tickets go on sale!

Were you alive in 1992/93 and 1999/2000?. In both season older away kits with older badges were used. The white Umbro one in 1992/93 and the blue/green thing in 1999/2000.

The slight disappointment is that the owners are spending all this money on Villa Park and the exterior of the Trinity will still look worse than my local Dunelm. I’m not suggesting we dress the thing in gables but get rid of some rusting metal.

Some subtle changes to the lower level join between the North Stand and the Trinity Road Stand it appears.

What an utterly daft question. Have you spoken to the manager before signing for him! If I was in charge of this club, there would be no media and “communications” people still in their jobs!
