    Depth at RB would be lovely. ST is a difficult one, as I like Durán and don't want to stunt his development, but if we want to challenge for the top 4/title then we do need a more "ready" alternative to Watkins. We're in a position now where we're upgrading to suit our style, rather than filling gaps. Players like Chambers, Dendoncker and possibly Cash don't really suit this way of playing - none of them are bad players, they just aren't suited to us. Thats a job for the summer though. I wouldn't be up in arms if we didn't sign anyone this window.

    Mild overreaction to 2 clubs exiting Europe altogether. It isn't ideal, but at least 1 English team should go deep into each of the 3 competions (Man City, Liverpool and Villa). Could do with Germany and Italy losing at least team in the 1st knockout rounds and Arsenal, Brighton and West Ham getting to the last 8/semi's. Not sure the Italian teams are all that, and Spain are propped up by 3 teams. I still think England will finish top 2, but probably 2nd

    The gap where the midfield should have been was scandalous - Guimaraes and Joelinton seemed to have free roles, and Milan just ran through them almost at will in the last 20 minutes or so. Launched hopeless balls forward at 1-2 to try and get back into it. Looks like Wor Eddie's been reading Martin O'Neill's coaching manual

    I dont particularly, but despite evidence to the contrary Emery isn't immortal - he's either going to die in service, be sacked, retire, or go to another club. I was merely mooting Iraola as a potential replacement if he continues the work he's done at Vallecano and now seemingly Bournemouth. Emery is clearly the kind of coach who keeps his eye on younger coaches and what they're doing, and Id suspect he's the kind of man who would have told the club about what they should look for when the inevitable happens - however far away that is. Iraola is obviously a good coach, plays nice football, and he's Basque - I'd imagine he's probably very intrigued by him.

    Based on this clowns usual standard, this meansa we can book the open top bus and ask for permission to close off Birmingham City Centre now. Would we be allowed to celebrate in town though??? Better book out Stratford, Worcester and Stafford centres instead...

    Need to find an alternative way of playing that isnt "run about a lot and kick people" Hopefully they finish 3rd in their CL group and drop to the Europa League - keeps them in Europe to help England build its coefficient (to give us a better chance of a CL place) as well as keeping those games coming into the 2nd half of the season but moving them to Thursday-Sunday too

    Fair, but playing one 17 year old in midfield shouldn't see them ship 7 goals in 4 days to Everton and Spurs. The other players they're sending out are experienced players.
