    Injuries or not, this isn't the same team as last year - the lack of squad depth is really costing them. We built a base and then added quality - they've done the opposite. Partly because of the need to buy immediate starters to make a statement in Saudi, but spending the money they have now means they're struggling to add the squad depth. Shame.

    I'm increasingly leaning towards this point of view. We certainly havent seen anything so far to suggest that we should spend £30m on him. I appreciate he's had off-field issues on top of trying to settle into a new country, but his performances have veered between frustratingly average and looking like he's had his feet removed and reattached the wrong way around.
