  1. I honestly feel Daryl Dike is worth considering this summer. Hugely impressed with him so far and only 20 years old.
  2. Think we’ll try and sign 4/5 good additions again this summer. These positions would be: RCB - Engels will go I reckon. I would look to the Championship here and Nathan Collins. Good age to sit behind Konsa and play several cup games or step up if/when Konsa gets injured. Otherwise, if we went for experience, then John Egan would be a useful pick up, however not sure he’d be happy being on the bench or not being first choice. LB - Taylor will go this summer. Henry is the obvious choice here but would be expensive. Lee Buchanan at Derby could be one to look at. Otherwise Aaron Hickey again or Greg Taylor? Targett certainly needs competition and shouldn’t be guaranteed every game. Mid - Barkley to return and Hourihane possibly to Swansea. Perhaps an addition here in the number 10 role? Don’t think we’ll pursue Barkley but could be wrong as we may have dedicated a lot of money on him already? Dele Alli on loan for next season anyone? Olise from Reading is an obvious one but Josh Dasilva is someone that could be considered as an alternative from the Championship. Wide Forward/Winger - Trez or El G or both may go. Brooks, Mbeumo, Sarr, Buendia, Cantwell are obvious thoughts and improvements from the Championship. Marcus Edwards is easily forgotten and comes to mind here. Have mentioned either of the Sessegnon brothers previously. Ryan has lost his way a little but is still young and a very good player. Steven isn’t pulling up any trees but both boys are very talented and seem like Smith signings. The jewel for this position though would be Pablo Neto. Probably a £40m plus player already but would push us to the next level and would show our ambitions as a serious top ten club. Centre Forward/Striker - Woefully lacking in this area after Watkins. Imagine if Watkins missed ten plus games for us? I do worry about Wes but not for here. Davis I don’t mind but we can’t have him as our only main option from the bench next season. Josh Maja is an option. Armstrong or Toney others? Daryl Dike looks to be a very good young player. Joao Pedro at Watford has impressed this season also. Simply put, we need one addition. I do struggle with suggesting any European based players purely because my knowledge in this area is so poor. I see and hear names but know generally nothing about them, perhaps someone could do a similar European list? However, I do think that Smith likes a home grown/based player anyway and think he’ll again concentrate his recruitment from here. Looking forward to an exciting summer.
  3. We saw the good, the bad and the ugly all in his cameo yesterday. Very likeable squad player though. His header at the far post was appalling and you think at this point, why do we use him but then the madness. He harassed and rattled their defence, his goals taken well and his endless running gave us some zip. No doubt we need an upgrade but I like his work ethic and honesty.
  4. This is a difficult one at present due to fitness and form. Luiz has been frustrating for a couple of months now and Barkley is so out of sorts. Sanson needs time to gut use to the pace of the game here and short appearances from the bench are probably best. Against Liverpool I think I’d start the following: Nakamba Ramsey McGinn
  5. Scored approx 7 goals so far this season I think? Good age and will only be 25 once this season has finished. You would think Albion will struggle to keep him once down, so he’s an option for sure. Boost our Brazilian numbers as well
  6. Morning all. Jack is back and think that’ll be enough to see us win this one. Would like to see McGinn pushed forward a bit. 2-1 to us. Emi Cash Konsa Mings Targett Luiz Sanson McGinn Traore Watkins Grealish
  7. do do do we have Ezri.............
  8. The Third Man on BBC4 this evening at 9pm. Good film for anyone that has never seen it.
  9. I don’t really understand why people think Tuanzebe would be a good fit here now? Firstly, his injury record is quite poor. His price and because it’s United would be best part of 15-20m or more I’d imagine. He’s not going to take the place of Konsa, so why would he leave United’s bench to sit on our bench? I think this ship sailed when we signed Konsa to be honest. Personally I’d be looking to sign a young CB from the Championship or Europe that will play a few games from the bench or if/when Konsa gets injured.
  10. There will always be good young players in the Championship and we should never discount it. Smith appears to like a player from that level anyway, which he can improve on. RB - Aarons is the obvious one but too expensive. So Bogle could be one to look at? I know not Championship right now but Sheffield may look to offload in the summer if money is an issue. Only cost them a couple of million I believe. LB - Henry. CB - Kelly, Mepham, Soutter, Collins, Fry, to name a few. MF/WF - Olise, Da Silva, Cook, Mbeumo, Buendia, Cantwell, Sibley, Brooks, Sarr, to name a few. Will Hughes still only 25 and would be useful addition to the squad. STR - Armstrong, Toney, Campbell, Koroma. I know not Championship but Maja could be worth a look as well.
  11. We certainly need to upgrade our wide options in the summer, either with or without Grealish. Saka has been mentioned by a few on here and he is clearly a bright prospect. Gettable though, I’m not so sure? The Sessegnon brothers still interest me a lot. Ryan has been in and out of the spotlight in the last few years but both he and Steven have huge potential. Could be something to look at? Marcus Edwards could be another worth looking at in the summer. Not sure how he’s doing in Portugal but again highly thought of. My personal preference but not very gettable unless we really want to splash the cash would be Pedro Neto. Real statement signing and huge potential to be great. Would take an offer in excess of 40m to 50m no doubt but worth it. So much better than Adama, who appears to have regressed again this season.
  12. Been called for my vaccine jab in the morning
  13. Holding the back four together at the moment and looking far more assured than Mings.
