  1. If i was Rishi i would keep the marbles but send back all of those broken statues we also stole from Greece.
  2. Well if hes got the ball, not at all. Im expecting him to pick it up with men in front of him and take them on. Not getting balls over the top to chase.
  3. I think our high line really only comes when we have a lot of possession in the opposition final third. Its very likely that City will take most of the ball and will build up slowly. As a result i dont think our high line will come into play as much. The likes of Doku will run at us, not really look for the ball over the top. We didnt really play that high a line against Spurs, a few times but also a lot of offsides i think came close to goal to be honest. I agree with your sentiment though, dont try and change what we do, its been successful but just accept that others may eventually pick us off.
  4. I'd be really surprised to see Tim and Ramsey start. Would hope to see both play a bit In the game. A win here means we can basically send kids to Bosnia and then not touch the conference league until Feb or so.
  5. Oddly I didn't think he was effective at all. Looked slow in the first half and seemed to lose the ball a lot. Improved second half but thought Youri was much better.
  6. What a result. Spurs didn't finish the game in the first half and you'd back Unai to work them out in the second half. They also dont have the stamina or the squad to keep playing that way throughout. I thought us being able to bring on Youri and Leon really makes a difference. Players that on the day actually improved us. Rarely been able to say that before about a villa side.
  7. Mcginn not been effective has he. Need to get Cash off as well before the ref sends him Off
  8. Surprised that the lino didn't give it. Shame from Ollie as he could have held the run. Hopefully these delays kill the momentum
  9. Fulham score those goals if you make a bigger allowance for the existing system. For me all this does is move the lines. If the defenders know the attackers have a bigger margin, they will have to be more aggressive with their starting position.
  10. But we play a high line in order to apply attacking pressure high up the pitch and we score more goals than we defend. So our attackers benefit more than our defenders suffer.
  11. Isn't this type of change aimed to support teams like us with a high line. Our whole game is based around applying pressure high up the pitch and out scoring teams. Changes that benefit attackers support our kind of team surely. Lets focus on the benefit it gives out attackers not the detriment it causes out defence.
  12. Didn't we beat them last season with Olsen in?
  13. i really dont know how they go about fixing the transport problems. Even if you fix the station, you still need more trains to be running to take people away. I wonder if the club could consider some sort of park and ride, maybe using star city a bit more? but even then, if we want to get 10 thousand more fans in, conservatively thats 2.5 thousand more cars and nearly 200 full bus journeys to ship people about. Didnt we make a hire in this space? a guy very experience in transport planning etc?
  14. i probably dont completely share the sentiment of the group here. It was good to see Konsa finally get a call but i also think he would have been attending with the knowledge that playing time wasnt guaranteed. Ultimately 23 get selected and not everyone will get minutes (though ten minutes wouldnt have hurt). Part one for Ezri is just making sure hes part of the conversation and hes achieved that. Going forward, i do think that one of the challenges could be the low number of clean sheets weve kept. While Konsa has improved hugely in my mind, we arent known as a solid defensive unit. I worry that our high line and attacking intent arent the best way for a central defender to shine and may impact future chances.
  15. Ill be honest, i dont base it just on the games. In all of our games i see opportunities for teams to get in behind us, it stands to reason that better teams will be more successful at doing that. For me the high line will give more opportunity to score, but it should also allow us more opportunity to score. The best attacking side will win.
  16. Cons. Lack of cleansheets and more exposed against better oppositions. Newcastle and Liverpool both founds ways through it easily. (note I'm a fan, just highlighting the cons)
  17. I like him, but i also think its a big area of improvement for us in the future. If i look across the traditional top 6, full backs are often some of the highest profile players.
  18. My top 5 Dairy Milk (big bar, cold from the fridge, no judgement while i eat it all) Cadburys Caramel Twix Mars Double Decker Notable mention, Rolos
  19. Congrats Ezri, showing hes on the radar. Great to see
  20. I watched a bit of the half time, trying to see if Moreno was likely to feature and Duran seemed to be warming normally to me. Obviously not close to the action but wonder if this could be a non event. Was good to see him back in the squad.
  21. They've won four out of the last five. On current form they should probably win the next four.
  22. Forest is a great example. Being behind the opposition could double up on him. Far better when he can get one on one and isolate defenders.
  23. Some serious competition for places now. Youri looked so good today, especially out wide combining with Digne. I don't think Ramsey is a banker to come back in, he'll need to win that spot.
  24. A great performance a can, really got upto speed now with the premier league.
