    everyone is always under investigation. You submit your accounts, you say whether you are compliant with PSR, we wait for the premier league to agree/disagree. If youve made a big profit in your accounts, youd expect the same from a psr perspective. If you've lost a lot, expect some scrutiny. Id expect us to be running close, the owners are trying to squeeze every last penny out. If we'd made a big profit, we would probably all be wondering why we hadnt seen that money invested.

    not possible that they can limit it to top 6 clubs and a few outside. It wouldnt surprise me to see something implemented that allows owners to burn their own cash as long as they secure the finances of the club. I wonder how long it is before third party ownership is also suggested like we see in other countries. Companies can bear some of the player cost in exchange for a slice of the profits.

    English teams that have qualified for the UCL in each of the last 4 seasons...Manchester City. A very tough ask for us.

    im not 100% sure what full strength is, i full expect us to play 11 of the 14/15 that typically play though. My guess is we will see Pau but not Konsa (given he was a late decision to play at the weekend, 2 game in 6 days for Konsa would be a surprise). I dont think we'll see Ramsey if he hobbled off. I think we might see Tim in his place with Mcginn playing off the left or Diaby. I think we'll see Digne.

    What stood out for me was I thought he was having a shocker and had several discussion about subbing him off if it was upto me

    You can list for resale, but the tickets can only be sold once the entire stadium is sold out. As a result virtually no mod week games go to resale. OBE, this would be the big change for me. Sort out resale. Let me list my seats (mine and sons) and sell me tickets straight away. When I can't make a game, let me swap my seats online to friends or family. The phone lines are just too inconvenient. I'll renew, I'm anticipating 15% increases.

    I dont believe the club would have risk needing a June sale to comply. We spent money in Jan when we didn't need to (the incomings won't really feature). Its likely Archer could come back onto the books and potentially zaniolo if we trigger a purchase. When I stack up those things we just wouldn't have made those purchases if we were so tight. I just don't believe we would gamble like this

    Achievable or not, the mindset to chase those above you is better than worrying about someone 11 points behind you. I'm trying to think like Unai, I'm convinced he is only looking upwards

    So good to have him back but he looked rusty I think. Lost two chances to win the ball for the first goal, gives away the free kick for the second goal. Hopefully a chance to build before the spurs game.

    Needed to be introduced earlier, moreno was struggling against the winger for the second week in a row. Digne brings more defensive stability and I think works better with Lenglet. Would start for me out of the two.

    Wouldn't we want a draw in the city game, both teams close to us. We can look up the table rather than at a team 11 points behind us

    I'm not sure about that, the Cost of food, programs and drink is very small I suspect. I'd be very surprised if the club is spending more than £6-7 per person on that. We don't really know the cost of all the refurb that went into it, even with a third of the previous capacity though I think the club are comfortable

    I think you can safely say it's making more money else the club would have done something different. People seem torn of Heck but one thing I think we can all agree on is that he will make difficult decisions quickly in his pursuit of increasing revenue without regard for fan opinion.

    I I dont think the club have hidden the need to increase revenue and recently commented on the use of GA+ seats as a way of doing this. I particular their preference for more seats vs season ticket price increases. I think we've seen this year that they have a place and that the demand is there. I think the club still needs to work on the quality of the offering but it opens up a market of day tripping tourists who are looking for a seat, food, atmosphere, maybe even accommodation. It's foolish of the club to ignore this. I hope football remains accessible for all, I'm not sure I'd have been a villa fan if today's prices existed when I started following football. Unfortunately I think most of the damage in that regards is done.

    I don't think it's necessarily down to team size but more positioning. I can't remember too many set piece goals coming direct from headers but more often second balls in the box. It would help to win the first header, but if not we've got to be more organised to win the second.

    I think his club average is 2-3 years, some of that his choosing and some of that the clubs I guess. I'd like to think he's here for a project but I also worry that getting us into the champions league would have him thinking he's hit our ceiling. If he gets a chance at a big job (United, bayern, barca, real) then he's off I'm sure.

    No where near Young for me, Young did this for consecutive seasons, could play left, right and down the middle. Went on to win everything. Even now he's adapted to play a premier league full back role and can do it either side (something we don't ask any of our current full backs to do). Bailey (as much as I'm enjoying him) hasn't even done it consistently for this season.

    Personally I wouldnt sell either...but If you did need to sell Ramsey, Diaby, buendia then they are sellable to teams below you. Watkins, Luiz, etc will only go to clubs above you and there aren't many of those. Are we that confident that Buendia is coming back effective. He's got an injury to get over and we're now asking him to contribute to a top 4 side. I don't see Buendia starting for Arsenal, Liverpool, City and I think that is where we're trying to be.

    I'm a bit nervous about this. We've needed these high earners at some point and next season if we make champions league we will need an even higher quality to rely on. Digne has played a lot of games, lenglet a previous high earning fringe player has been essential and probably dendonker would be getting some game time if he was still here.

    brilliant, regardless of form, it will feel like a big tie between two European giants. I dont want easy ties, i want fun games that i can get excited about.
