  1. Ill be honest, i dont base it just on the games. In all of our games i see opportunities for teams to get in behind us, it stands to reason that better teams will be more successful at doing that. For me the high line will give more opportunity to score, but it should also allow us more opportunity to score. The best attacking side will win.
  2. Cons. Lack of cleansheets and more exposed against better oppositions. Newcastle and Liverpool both founds ways through it easily. (note I'm a fan, just highlighting the cons)
  3. I like him, but i also think its a big area of improvement for us in the future. If i look across the traditional top 6, full backs are often some of the highest profile players.
  4. My top 5 Dairy Milk (big bar, cold from the fridge, no judgement while i eat it all) Cadburys Caramel Twix Mars Double Decker Notable mention, Rolos
  5. Congrats Ezri, showing hes on the radar. Great to see
  6. I watched a bit of the half time, trying to see if Moreno was likely to feature and Duran seemed to be warming normally to me. Obviously not close to the action but wonder if this could be a non event. Was good to see him back in the squad.
  7. They've won four out of the last five. On current form they should probably win the next four.
  8. Forest is a great example. Being behind the opposition could double up on him. Far better when he can get one on one and isolate defenders.
  9. Some serious competition for places now. Youri looked so good today, especially out wide combining with Digne. I don't think Ramsey is a banker to come back in, he'll need to win that spot.
  10. A great performance a can, really got upto speed now with the premier league.
  11. My worry is that digne is only one booking from Moreno playing a full 90.
  12. I think it's because he gave a penalty. If its wrong it's the only way you can restart the game. As you say that's probably the rule. Fulhams would probably say he's poor for giving the pen in the first place.
  13. Most inform team in the prem on results? Agree they are not playing well but probably have an injury list worse that the media obsessed spurs. If they stay close, I'm sure they will improve as players come back to fitness. Also likely to drop out of Europe which helps.
  14. I was also a bit torn on this but in the end decided he did well. At the time I was frustrated to not get the pen but it clearly hit the guys face. He seemed slow to get his cards out but on reflection that suited us also as I can recall points that I felt Luiz, Kamara and Digne could be in trouble with the ref which would have mean suspensions. While I didn't think he got advantages right a few times, he was probably consistent throughout and didn't manage to let a lot of the game flow.
  15. Was expecting to see him today, still no game time. Surely at three nil at home we should be introducing him? I don't know if it's the form of digne or if the injury is perhaps worse than we all thought
  16. I think Newcastle are a lesson in when champions league football comes too soon. They don't have a squad that is used to playing twice a week and when they do, the level of competition is huge. No opportunity to play a weakened side when you've got psg, Milan and dortmund. I think not just the physical but also the mental side of the competition. I was thinking of Dan Burn scoring a mid week goal against PSG, he probably felt like it was a cup final and wanted to celebrate. But really he needs to put the performance aside and start to prep and train. We need to tread the very careful balance of building over time a high quality squad that all knows how to play the same way, the mentality to take the lows and highs all at the same time as not letting top 4 clubs take our players and derail us.
  17. same for me. Most of the delay i noticed was that lots of season ticket holders were still trying to use cards, then taking time for someone to explain cards dont work, then taking time to find emails on phones, then taking time to argue and complain that their cards dont work....... I also noticed a lot of people trying to scan the barcode from the email on their phone, rather than loading the ticket into their respective phone wallet. Thankfully the additional queueing time gave me chance to make all of these interesting observations.
  18. i wondered similar. Could we push John Mcginn into a front 3 and bring Youri into midfield with Luiz and Kamara.
  19. Really good off the ball as well. Leading the press at times and battling hard to retain the ball. Impressed with him today.
  20. arguably, if were not signing players that have realistic aspirations of playing at a higher level, were probably signing the wrong players. I dont think its anything to worry about. Sign players that want to leave for clubs playing at the highest level, become good enough so that they dont have to.
  21. id rather one but id say its 50/50 whether we would get along. It better be no one im related to.
  22. i always think its funny when clubs assume players of the same nationality or region will get on well. loads of english people i dont like and the countries within Britain universally hate each other. Agree with the sentiment though about how difficult it is to settle, particularly at the age of 19.
  23. not commenting on the player but i wouldnt necessarily go by a forum for guidance. If anyone came and read VT over the last few years, theirs points where Mings, Luiz, Mcginn and Watkins were all described as very poor.
  24. I do wonder if the injuries have harmed us a bit here. The people were bringing off the bench to try and change games are often similar types of players. Buendia would have given us something different with his intensity, Ramsey with his directness (and also probably means Zaniolo and Bailey would be available from the bench), Moreno i think speaks for himself and I think even Mings would have meant Pau could be used in a more attacking role. We've got a good starting 11 but outside that, changes feel quite like for like. As many others have said, we are a work in progress.
  25. While he lacked a bit of quality yesterday, he was always involved in our key moments.
