  1. I thin he needs a break. Not adjusting to Premier League from a easy league, and that is a worry. Some training and coaching and we could try him again in a few weeks.
  2. He is getting better and better. One of our best today.
  3. As I said after the Arsenal match, he is too slow on the ball and he is nonchalant. The effects have been seen in the last three matches: He plays his team mates into troubles and this invites our opponents into the game and they put so much pressure on us that we concede. And he is hardly a proven PL defender. He had a great season with us last year, but he was not good enough for Bornemouth. I think the key to our survival lies in our two CBs and our defensive midfielder. Will of course give him some more time, but I fear the times when he will face the good strikers.
  4. I have been critical of Mings in the last matches, but he is not alone being poor in the defence, though. Neither Engels, Guilbert or Taylor looks Premier League material at the time.
  5. Our defenders are not Premier League material, are they?
  6. Loving him. Really good going forward and scores great goals.
  7. He should be a regular. Specially when we have so many new players that we would have to expect will use 3-6 months to adjust to Premier League.
  8. Let's hope Mings do not have another stinker today.
  9. If he did a bad job on Monday, as many here suggested, maybe that was the reason he was sidelined. But I would think it was a knock on training. And no need to rush him after making a bad 20 minutes experience, imo.

That is worrying, if he is better than Konsa. Maybe we should buy a new cb in January.
  11. I think I will wait until mid November before I have a clear view of how capable he is in the Premier League. Was hoping our investments this summer would give us a 14-17th place when season is over, and I still think we can have a successful season and take one of those spots.

Why not? One of the reasons why we fall back, are Mings taking too long time on the ball. Then putting his teammates in trouble (a lot of his passes to Grealish, McGinn etc is putting them in an awkward position being pressured. It has happened several times now, and we therefore needs to change the cause of the problem. At least until he improves.

Maybe try him next match? Give Mings a pause?
  14. Everyone makes mistakes, and today was an unfortunate one. I have more problem with the fact that he spends too much time on the ball, and that leads to players receiving his passes end up in a hurry with people closing them down. Was the same against West Ham too. And that put us on the back front.
  15. I actually think it is a problem that comes from behind. Mings is using too much time with the ball, and this has an effect on the players that is on the receiving end of his passes. They end up a bit short on time, and then they either lose the ball directly or they play a rushed poor pass. And then we are defending again.
  16. 2 goals in 6. It is ok, but I would think he need a bit more time. He is really out of the game a lot.
  17. But that second goal was Mings having a stinker. What could he do, he could not know Mings has such a terrible header. I actually think Taylor has been one of our better players this season. And I don't understand the praise that Mings has been getting.
  18. He was very good until his big mistake that led to the penalty. Thought he was worse after that and him and Mings really invited Arsenal with poor clearences.
  19. I like Mings, but he is way too comfortable in uncomfortable situations, and unfortunately, he is not good enough to pull it off. The 2-2 goal today is on him.
  20. I think this was a loss by our choice. Sitting back has not worked before, and it was no surprise that it did not work today. And I am starting to get frustrated by Mings, who is taking too much time with the ball and is reckless. Why not just hit the ball away instead of doing the things that get you into trouble?
  21. Hat trick by Erling Braut Haaland in the first half when Salzburg is 5-1 up against Genk. That is the son of former Manchester City player Alf Inge Haaland. He made headlines when he scored 9 in one match in WC U20 against Honduras when Norway won 12-0
  22. One of the Norwegian experts is sure some betting people have paid some of their defenders. I don't know, but maybe I feel that because I don't want to take something away for the young Norwegian players. But it sure was some rotten defending. Tbf several Honduas players cried after the match, so don't think it was a coordinated thing (if it was some fixing) from all the players.
  23. Someone will probably ask questions. But seeing the Honduras players breaking down in tears after the match, tell me there is no coordinated effort from the players. The frustrastion of the players were also quite clear during the match, with a leg breaking tackle that made Roy Keane look like wimp (luckily, the Norwegian player that was attacked did not break any leg).
  24. Norway is winning against Honduras. 20 minutes left. 8-0. Erling Håland has scored 6. He is btw the son of former Man City player Alf Inge Håland. 9-0 now. And Håland with his 7th goal. New edit. 11-0. Håland with 8 goals. LOL. New edit. 12-0. Håland with 9 goals now....
  25. I have a feeling that there will be a very nasty atmosphere toward the players in the last matches.
