You've just summed up what happens when an employer trusts their staff and treats them like adults. Yet some companies just don't get it. I moan about my job but my employers are very flexible with me and the remuneration is very decent for what I do. Plus the extras are good as well... i've got about £1m worth of life/critical illness/accident cover in place in total. I'm worth loads dead or crippled! The pension is good as well (they put 17% in at the top end)

Having Monday booked off work.

Currently got an iPhone 6S Plus... 3rd iPhone i've had. They're functional and reliable. I'll probably pass on the new releases. May switch to Android next just for a change (and this time give it more of a chance). I've got a Samsung A5 work phone and its pretty good, albeit heavily locked down with Knox. The hate Apple seems to get from non Apple users is bizarre. You look at any comments section on tech blogs when there is an Apple launch and its full of hate. I just find it a bit sad and weird.

I'm going to the Wembley game with a Ravens fan. I may sport my Dan Marino Dolphins shirt! I think this is the 4th Wembley game I've been to over the years.

Quiet night tonight and not much planned for tomorrow. Sunday I'm off to Wembley for the NFL game between the Ravens and Jaguars.

I went on a quiz night recently and did ok... my teammates all kept saying how well I did. The questions were wide ranging but I just knew a fair few of the answers. How? I don't know! I must just absorb snippets of otherwise useless information and trivia. I'm not saying I'm clever but its a knack i guess. @Shropshire Lad posted about pub sign history recently... I read up a bit on it and its now in my brain and it'll stay there for a long time. When they became legal, what King was in charge at the time etc. I don't need to go back and check - its just stuck in there now for a future pub quiz. I try not to chime in at work as a know it all
