I don't go to the cinema... so it'd be a +1 for the film studios in terms of revenue from me. There is probably a lot of people who want to watch the latest films but don't want to go to the cinema, for various reasons. I think this device/method would be a success. I still think there would be a place for cinemas as a lot of people would still want to go. However, it may cause a drop off in numbers to some degree.

I think it would be great for the city to host the Commonwealth Games. As @villa4europe says, Brum is booming at the minute. I need to buy an apartment in the city centre before too long before the prices go up too much.

I used to love Champ Manager 2 (around 1996 was it?) but looking at the game now it appears massively complex and detailed. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have the patience for it.

Just got collared by one of those charity workers who give it the big spiel with compliments and 'bantz' and then try to wheedle my bank account details out of me for a DD payment. She looked devastated when I refused*. They are very persuasive and can see how some people feel obliged to sign up there and then. *I'm not against charity, far from it, I do a lot for various ones through work but I don't want to sign up for a DD for any of them.

I wonder whether there will ever be a service that allows you to watch the late cinema releases at home? Like a PPV Netflix type arrangement. I'd pay £10 to watch IT today on my TV.
