  1. Basically when he took over the players weren't good enough. There was only 5 worth keeping and he had to start from scratch. My question would have been "Well, they were good enough for Rowett to get to mid-table" but of course, Talkshite were more interested in rimming his chocolate starfish to ask any telling questions.
  2. Wembley home games working out well I see.
  3. This might work http://onlineradiobox.com/uk/bbcwm/?cs=uk.bbcwm&played=1
  4. Seriously though, good to see him in the team. We look far more likely to score when he plays
  5. We were efficient in the first half. Barnsley had more of the ball but never really threatened IMO. It was a very good away performance and we haven't been able to say that too much in recent years!
  6. Looked solid today. Defence did well... 3 clean sheets in a row. Thought Terry was excellent. Davis is a talent and great to see Adomah and Kodija back in the team.
  7. Very good result. Hopefully we continue in this vein.
  8. He has played a blinder though. Signs contract, loads of 'deals' and then the sack. Nice fat payoff no doubt.
  9. On the bench today for Reading. How can they bench such a vital player?!
  10. Stradivarius for the St Leger

Surely its been like that for about 7 years?!
  12. They were. Apparently Russ Abbott pops in the Blue Bell when he is in the vicinity. I went to to see them play FC United of Manchester earlier this season. Perfect football away day... sight seeing, great pubs, fish n chips and a short walk to the ground. Shame they will be moving to an out of town ground soon. Another old city centre ground demolished and turned into new homes in the name of 'progress'.
  13. Yes, IMO Goldeneye aside, Brosnan's films were pretty poor.
  14. I've mentioned this one before... Bulls Head, Bishopgate Street (just down from Pryzm at top of Broad Street). Went for a quiz night there recently and it is an oasis at that end of Brum. Great ales, really good bar staff and nicely decorated inside. Well worth a look if you are in the vicinity.
  15. On the subject of work emails, a lot my clients work in industries that are working every day (transport, logistics and other 24/7 operations) and as such I get emails all weekend from them. When I log on Monday morning after the weekend I'm always faced with a deluge of requests/queries/demands. *sigh* I agree with you about emails, I hate people sending them to me late in the day and usually I don't respond after 5-ish but had no choice last night Still, had no calls from work today so I guess the place didn't burn down without me.
