  2. Bang on. Given a choice i'd like to piss about working in a record shop but I don't want to have to live paycheque to paycheque for the rest of my life. That is why I push myself and work long hours if needed. What I am doing enables me to lead a comfortable life with no money worries. Plus a job that challenges me keeps my mind sharp. I don't work weekends, save for the occasional hour or two in very rare circumstances. Hopefully it will enable me to retire early as well. The thought of working until 60 doesn't appeal to me!
  3. Sorry to hear that Ruge, hope everything works out for you and your missus. You mentioned in another thread that you had 2 bottles of wine between you last night - that won't be helping with her state of mind.

There was a documentary years ago about a couple of blokes who were addicted to masturbating. Probably on Youtube!

I was a veggie for a while (about 15 years back) and found it easy. I must have stayed veggie for a year or two. I eat meat because I like it. However if I had to give it up again, i don't think it would be difficult
  7. Its a difficult balance with work - If you earn a certain amount then you will be expected to work outside of 'normal' hours as and when needed. I sometimes have to work very long hours and its not because i'm disorganised or messy, its because I'm good at my job and as a result it generates further work for me - almost a victim of my success! However, my remuneration is commensurate to what I do and deliver and as a result I don't mind putting the effort and hours in. There are people at my place who take no pride in their work or just do the bare minimum to get by, and these are the ones always complaining about their salary and bonuses (or lack of). I'm lucky in that my place recognises effort and productivity and it is tangible and demonstrable (basically, the amount of money people generate per month). I'll generally monitor my work emails until 9pm most nights and reply if I can - they are usually to clients, not internal emails.

Should have got Boris' water cannon vehicle out of storage to deal with those people. Or rubber bullets to the legs
  9. We won 4-0, nothing for people to moan about
  10. Agreed. Unfortunately cheap travel has opened it up to the dregs of society. Seriously considering business class for future flights (as long as its not extortionate)
  11. Sunday morning as soon as it opens is bearable I once had to collect something for my Mom at the Asda in Minworth on a Saturday afternoon. Never again. The people in there wouldn't be allowed into the Mos Eisley Cantina.

Bang on. I've been in a rut for a long time and need to shake myself out of my malaise. Life is a cycle of work, sleep and slobbing around in my free time. I need to get back to the gym, get myself in shape and get back in the dating game. It's just forcing myself to do it which is the hardest part.

Looks like carnage outside the hospital from the pictures.
  14. I don't think we can play them in the semi as neither of us can finish lower than 4th. In a one off game and we click? Yes I think we can.
  15. I watched yesterdays game but no interest in todays. I'll probably watch the final if I'm in on that day. It's not the event it used to be though.
  16. Same. Seems a twatty thing to do, but hey, its all about the bantz nowadays!

    Stoke

    Were they "excellent" today?
  18. He's won 6 titles in 3 countries since Wenger last won 1. If we are carrying on the Wenger comparison. As for challenging City, I agree Liverpool do have a chance but they are far too inconsistent. Man Utd have already overtaken them under Jose, no doubt aided by money. Like you said, we'll see but I think Man Utd will be much closer to Man City next year
  19. It was a throwaway comment, no need to be so serious.
