  1. Being born in the early 80's and growing up around all that music, it's the pick of the poll. 90's music was not too bad in stages, but it really took off imo around '98 when the unforgettable era of Trance really took shape. However, that goes from late 90's crossing over to the early 00's so cannot be defined to one era as such. Hard to decide, but the 80's wins the vote for me by a fine margin.
  2. After a quick glance at the Ascot Card, I can't say I'm too bothered about getting involved today. Newton Abbot also not looking decent with the small fields of each race.
  3. @sidcow writes his 198th letter to Christian Purslow begging him to come back to Villa...
  4. Just make sure your daughter isn't involved anywhere.
  5. The way this horrible old boot delivered it to us, i'm amazed it still doesn't haunt me now!
  6. I was aged 7 or 8 at the time, and being taught about St Swithun's day one day in junior school. That shit haunted me for years until I was about 11/12 but until then I was worried sick for years that if it rained on that day in July, the whole place would be flooded and under water.
  7. I meant to comment on this the other day and forgot.. Did the guy behind the counter not realise that you wanted cigarettes that contained tobacco and not gold!?
  8. I couldn't finish watching that. I hope we absolutely smash West Ham on Sunday and give this little guy a day he will never ever forgot.
  9. About a month before my grandfather died, we covered his back with lard. After that he went downhill very quickly.
  10. For people with mental health and behaviour disorders, it can make a massive difference to their lives owning a dog.
  11. Sorry mate, I should have said Redcar. You're right. All weather courses will be fine.
  12. Fakenham, Haydock & Uttoxeter all abandoned. Further inspections on the others at 8.30.
  13. I used to love a visit to W H Smith and still pop into them now and again if I've a bit of time to burn (High street stores). But will avoid their pokey little places at motorways and train stations like the plague where they just take the absolute piss on their pricing. How the train station outlets also remain open bemuses me as I never see anyone in them either whenever i'm at any train station. I would safely bet that they are probably haemorrhaging away more money on rent on the train stations than they are making it. As you both mention, how they still remain open for business is quite fascinating.
  14. That's fine mate, I mean I don't have any particular sway towards any of them personally as I think they're all full of bollocks. I only watch PMQ's on odd occasions too (when I'm free) just for the fact it's just mostly panto.
  15. That's fair enough. I was just wondering why it made them throbbers for not voting for the 'main three'. But yeah, I guess the same could equally be said about the throbbers that continue to vote for the 'main two' who themselves have succeeded in putting the UK down the toilet.
  16. Genuine question. Why are they throbbers for voting reform?
  17. He would give Sunak a run for his money.
  18. Yes. A thing I first noticed when I was in the Algarve (about 20 years ago or so) was they stored all their pint glasses in freezers. At the time I thought it was impressive and the beer remained lovely and cold until the last drop. Touching on what you're saying (and thinking out loud) maybe also complemented by them possibly storing the kegs in the cellar at a very low temperature too?
  19. I did read that Stella lowered the alcohol content years ago as they have spent years trying to shrug the "Wife Beater" tag that it had associated to it.
  20. For some reason Stella does not agree with my insides and sends the stomach into meltdown just the same as Koppaberg does. I remember years ago Stella launched a nice beer in silver cans which IIRC was called Stella 4% Triple filtered beer. Finally able to enjoy a 'Stella' brand.. then the idiots go and discontinue it.
  21. Both have been available for a while now in a few of the pubs round Cheshire I visit, and yes both just popped up out of nowhere. Is it a case of retiring one shite beer and relaunching it a year or so later with a slight tweak in the recipe but under a different name?
  22. Couldn't have put it any better. I don't have much faith in the flowery opposition that are trying to get into power either. But I know I'm drifting OT now, so I'll leave it at that.
