  1. Easy. Massively cut down on their meat consumption. People eat way too much meat, for both their own health and the health of the planet. Would this be enough on its own to solve the issues facing the planet? No, but making changes as individuals puts pressure on governments to follow suit which then puts pressure on science to come up with alternatives more in keeping with current thinking. It can change the whole out look of the political landscape. If individuals look like they don't care and are unwilling to put in the hard yards then governments will simply push the problems down the line
  2. Yes, but governments and science are only driven by people putting pressure on them to change direction, without that they will do what ever is cheapest and easiest
  3. Yeah, the problem isn't those that deny it but those that acknowledge it but are unwilling to change anything in the personal lives in order to do something about it
  4. Enjoying these guys at the moment. Only a couple of songs out so far, but they're playing at Green Man festival so I shall give them a watch next month
  5. Quite often I've ended up at a festival that The 1975 will be playing at so they'll appear on my festival playlist. The moment, the very moment, their track finishes I will completely forget what they sound like, even what genre they are, and have to listen again. Which then leads to me forgetting once more etc. They've got to be one of the most successful beige bands out there, at least Coldplay have a couple of tunes I can remember!
  6. Did you mention you'd like to DHUTWU? (That's a phrase I've noticed has become increasingly popular on here. Casual misogyny ahoy!)
  7. Well isn't that the truth. For all the issues surrounding the implementation of Ulez the reality is that only with schemes like this that people make necessary changes to their habits. The issue is who is most affected and how to negate the worst problems caused. The Tories will attack the Labour Mayor's on the issue because they know it's a vote winner but in reality they know, should they win the next mayor election, that they will continue down the same road.
  8. Whilst it's fair enough to want neither, I think it's a little unfair to dump them together. Lukaku is on a downward trend due to age and, it would seem, lack of interest Felix has underperformed after a big move but has loads of time to turn it around Emery clearly rates Felix and if we could sign him I think we would
  9. On this theme, but from the other angle, places that don't take cash piss me off. I don't use cash a great deal but hate having the choice being taken away. It freezes certain parts of society out. One of my local bars doesn't take cash since COVID so I just don't go there, even if I'm paying by card.
  10. Can't wait for the season to start so we can discuss some proper subjects rather than how to rank our shittest players
  11. I think statistically, and visually, he was. They were all shit signings I don't think he was ever going to be good enough
  12. He plays an attacking midfield role, which is, according to Leicester fans, also Tielemans best position
  13. Disappointing, but this is why we've signed Tielemans so that the drop off in talent isn't too great when this sort of thing inevitably happens.
  14. Everton - Sigurdsson Forest - Gibbs-White West Ham - Haller Wolves - Nunes All these players either cost their teams over 40m or, in the case of Gibbs-White, will do so if they meet expectations So over half the league have broke the 40m mark. It is still crazy mind
  15. As others have mentioned above it was the season we came up. I don't think we will spend more than £140m as I think Torres and a wide attacker/ forward will be our only large outlays
  16. Very true Mind you, Maddison does come across as a bit of a dick in the interviews I've seen with him so he might not have changed a great deal
  17. I agree with all this other than the watching Cricket part. **** Cricket.
  18. Well, yes, but that's why I think Emery views him as lower down his order than Bailey. Coutinho is far too unreliable due to his general fitness to be considered important to the squad. We should try and sell him to some unsuspecting suckers and then run off laughing, just as Barca did to us
  19. I suspect that Emery has Bailey in front of Coutinho in his order of preference
  20. Of course not, no one's saying that. But if we go into the season with Mings, Konsa, Carlos and Torres as our options I'm certain that Unai will go with at least one of our CBs that knows the league, if not both. Do you truly believe he would play Carlos and Torres straight off the bat when he has two excellent options already? He has the luxury of settling them in and taking the time to do it
  21. Slightly different situation with Konsa as we had just been promoted so pretty much none of the team had PL experience For what it's worth I don't think there is a chance that we end up starting the season with Carlos and Torres (if we sign him) as our first choice pair, Unai will want to give them time to settle into his playing style.
  22. If you can't find music you like at Glastonbury then you must be into metal, It covers pretty much every other style across it's 60 odd stages!
  23. Only been the last two years but absolutely love it, top little festival
