Been a horrible day for the club and it’s easy to go in on the players and manager. One thing I will say if you’ve ever played on a team where someone suffers a serious injury it does have an effect on you mentally. Not using Mings injury as an excuse as they are all professionals but when you see a mate clearly upset, it’s bound to effect you.

I agree with everything you have said. Maybe it’s time for Carlos to step up and become our leader at the back. Been a horrible few days for our club. Just never seem to be able to kick on for one reason or another.

Don’t ask me why but have a feeling Spurs might come in for him. I like Ollie a lot but along with the rest of the team was very poor today. Like a few others didn’t look interested, which is unusual for him.

Played like he didn’t really want to be there, very worrying performance as he wasn’t great in preseason. I’m a big fan but just doesn’t look interested atm.

Gutted for Mings. Only going off his reaction but it wouldn’t surprise me if we never seen him in a Villa shirt again. Might sound extreme but it will be the 2nd he’s done it and at his age it will tough to get back to anywhere near the level he was at.

Didn’t think they were that great to be honest. Deserved to go in all square at HT and then we gift them a soft goal that killed us. Bad day at the office but most of it was self inflicted.

We don’t get much luck. Finally look like we can kick on and suffer 2 horrendous injuries in the space of 2 days. Our squad is basically back to square one. I thought we were comfortable until Mings went off. High line got exposed because Mings wasn’t there to organise it. Very frustrating but that’s football.

Not sure of the rules mate. I would assume it doesn’t include players who come though the academy but I’m not sure. I thought the reason that FIFA introduced it though was to stop clubs stock pilling talent.

No sure if it’s been mentioned but could Ramsey being sold with a buy back option be because of the number of players a team is allowed to loan out? Isn’t there a new rule that only allows a team to loan out 7 players. We currently have 5 players out on loan and I’m pretty sure we would try and find loans for at least 4 other players. I’m not 100% on the rules though.

Gutted for Emi, I’m not his biggest fan but always admired his commitment to the team. Hopefully it’s a speedy recovery!

Leeds bid £12m for Max Aarons who has been shite for years. We will easily get double figures for Archer.

Archer is brilliant off the shoulder and a great finisher but the rest of his game isn’t good enough imo. I really like him and will be sad to see him leave but there isn’t any sentiment in football.

Play hardball for at least £20m imo. Liverpool got more than that for both Solanke and Brewster and they was years ago. Prices have gone up since then. The kid is a proven goalscorer!

You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone, springs to mind. Watkins is perfect for us at the moment. If he does ever leave I think he will go to a London club….

Much better run out for the lads tonight against a team who put 100% more effort in than Lazio. We looked comfortable for the majority of the game. Only real concern is that Diaby has struggled to get into the last 2 games.

Looks like he is getting a lot of love on the Plymouth forums. On the assist, even though it counts the kid who scored ran half the length of the pitch with the ball to score. It slightly annoys me that players get assists for such goals!

Well that is sort of my point mate, how long do you wait for a player to show his potential. Also nobody knows what the player wants, pretty sure I read that he was stalling on a new contract.

FFP might not be an issue for us in 3 years time either given we will now be targeting CL football. Like I say I trust the club, they have earned it.

No chance they were signing him back when the buy back clause was active given his performances at that time. How long do you wait for a player to show his potential? I like Ramsey and would prefer he stays but trust the club. His injury record isn’t the best either, maybe they are taking this into consideration!

This forum is always good value. When we signed Dougie there were plenty of fans saying it was just a glorified loan and were wetting the bed that City would buy him back. We do exactly the same and it’s a terrible idea. Not sure if it’s good or bad but I trust the club to do the right thing, they haven’t got much wrong since Emery arrived.

I like the look of this kid, he already looks like he in tune with how Emery wants to play. You can see he has a football brain at the age of 17, he sees things early and releases the ball at the right time. Also looks like he can hold his own physically which is rare for someone of his age.

It was hard to judge him last night imo, Lazio were that bad. The third goal summed their performance up. Coutinho literally flinched to go inside off the ball and all 3 Lazio players went to cover leaving a massive gap for an easy ball to Revan who had nobody near him. It was school boy stuff all night from them.
