  1. He definitely needs time but he’s been woeful for nearly 2 years now, I get that players have spells of bad form but 2 years is ridiculous. His conditioning looks poor and not what I would expect from a PL player. McGinn got slaughtered last season for his spell under Gerrard but that was more down to the manager. We can’t use that excuse for Youri.
  2. Not sure how bones repair but I’m not sure how breaking 3 as opposed to 2 would make any difference. Surely if he’s been in a boot they would repair themselves irrespective of how many were broken.
  3. Thanks for explaining that mate, think I will stick to using my eyesight though, always found this to be the best way.
  4. Could someone please explain how xG works. Actually don’t bother as it’s pointless. Yesterday we had 9 shots on target scoring 6, Brighton had 3 shots on target, scoring 1. In the fantasy world of expected goals, Brightons xG was higher than ours, which was 1.49
  5. I have stopped listening to drive on the way home, not because he constantly talks about United be the fact he just so f**king annoying.
  6. Loved it when he punched the floor in what looked like anger for not scoring his 4th goal. I know Dougie rolled it in but Ollie knew he should have scored that.

    Douglas Luiz

I was never a big Dougie fan and doubted him more often than not. I’m absolutely delighted that he has rammed my words down my throat. He has turned into some player.

    Pau Torres

Best game so far, he was more aggressive and got into their forwards early before they could turn and hurt us.
  9. The u21’s seem to throw away a lot of leads, is it a fitness issue with them or do they switch off in games?
  10. Does Wilson not usually get in the U21 squad? I should know this and take more interest in the development teams.
  11. I’ve seen some right shite down the Villa over the last 40 years with far less talent than this bloke but what some of them did have was heart and desire, sadly Tielemans doesn’t appear to have either.
  12. Mings, Moreno and Ramsey, there is your pace and the whole left hand side of your team out.
  13. Doesn’t look like it will be anywhere near a sell out tomorrow, very poor considering Everton are bringing 6,500. I would hazard a guess that only 35% of fans on the ST waiting list would actually purchase a ST if they get the chance.
  14. Think it depends on how our teams do in Europe this season. Winning the CL etc.
  15. I don’t think we have to squad to get CL but if we can get to Jan in the mix I think we will go big in the Jan transfer window.

    Away Form

Too early to say imo. We never get anything at Newcastle and losing Mings clearly affected the players. We conceded a soft early goal at Anfield, so we was always going to be up against it after that. Would also argue our starting 11 for both those games wasn’t our strongest 11 if everyone is fit. Our current starting 11 isn’t as strong as last season either imo.
  17. I was in Belgrade in 2018 and went to watch Red Star v Liverpool in the CL. The ground was full one hour before kick off and the fans and players were bang up for it and won 2-0. They had conceded 10 in their previous 2 games. Klopp made 4/5 changes but they just never got going pretty much like us tonight. Moral of story, Liverpool went on to win the CL that year.
  18. Brighton beat Newcastle 3-1 and then make 6 changes in the next game away at United and win 3-1. Team that started cost £17m. He has made 7 changes to that team tonight and they’ve been beaten, I guarantee there won’t be any Brighton fans questioning their manager though. They trust their manager and respect that you have to rotate the squad.
  19. I wouldn’t be against this, started in arguably our best 3 performances of last season, against Brentford, United and Newcastle.
  20. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look happy but he does seem more miserable than usual.
  21. Did he go off injured, looked like Tielemans was going to be subbed and he walked over to the line holding his hip.
  22. I’ve watched football for 40+ years and have genuinely never heard of the team West Ham are losing to.
  23. 3 current internationals and a guy who has played 15 games for France and over 100 games for Barcelona were the fringe players the manager bought in, if fans think these players aren’t good enough to start then I genuinely don’t know how you ever expect us to rotate the squad.
