We need to find a midfield general. Need to find someone worthy of adding to this list of players I remember fondly.
Kevin Richardson/Boateng/Barry/Petrov
I'd take Barry back in a heartbeat.
Well, thing is with that, that short of sitting here checking out transfermarkt for a few hipster names, I dont know.
Of the players we've been linked with I like the idea of DeLaet and Morrison.
for me in my ideal little bubble I'd like to see
Defence: in - Right Back out - Richards, Lescott
midfield: in - Central midfielder out - Veretout, Gana, Sanchez
Forwards: in - Striker, Right wing, Left wing out - Sinclair, Gabby
think we'd have a well balanced squad then at least with decent enough cover for injuries.
Surely someone will take a punt on Richards before the window shuts. Guzan, Gana and Sinclair all look like they have one foot out the door already, Veretout and Sanchez seem to have a few suitors if nothing else. But Gabby and Lescott? Im left wondering who in their right minds would want either of them.
Birmingham, Blackburn, Brentford, Bristol City, Fulham, Huddersfield, Ipswich, Leeds, N.Forest, Preston, QPR, Reading and Rotherham for sure atm, although we're more joining them. Wigan look like they're coming up. Burton should hold on for promotion unless Walsall do something amazing. any 1 from 10 could still make it up via the playoffs with 2 games to go in League 1. Cardiff clinging on to playoff hopes in the championship, either them or Sheff Weds miss out. Derby and Hull in the playoffs with whoever doesn't finish top 2 out of Boro, Burnley and Brighton. so 4 out of those 7 will still be with us next year.
I think Norwich are coming down with us probably with Newcastle. Purely because of Allardyce really.
Yeah a few times. His 1st touch is a lay lay off to bacuna after calling for it having run forwards, then ran around offering himself for the ball, tells Veretout to get forward. 2nd touch lays it off to westwood from bacuna and moves forwards comes back offers easy ball to Gueye who tries to bypass him, we almost lose possession he's part of the group that tidies up. couple of little lay offs follow by a poor chipped attempted through ball which is cut out and won back by lyden which proves to be the catalyst for a break down the left. Thats the first minute as I see it. we dont really have much possession and there's a lost header in there somewhere. but his burst forward on 89 mins when we win the ball back is probably what I was talking about yesterday. Never hid and just looked like he thought he could help us win in the last 10 mins if he tried real hard.
