  1. I like to look at it on a slow news day. The soothing factor of not having to watch Richardson and Nzogbia ever again calms me
  2. Nearly sold or released a whole team now. Guzan Crespo - ??????? - Clark - Richardson Gana - ???? Nzogbia - Gil - Robinson ??????
  3. Welcome to B6. Be good at football. That is all.
  4. Well, Celtic beat Astana and guaranteed Europa League football. Wonder if that frees up any of those Scottish Pounds.
  5. So apart from McCormack, what links are out there? RB - DeLaet CB - McNair CM - Bridcutt AM - R.Morrison, Luis Alberto ST - Kodja, Bamford Anyone heard/seen anything else?
  6. Think we've got down to a place where it's Richards out - RB in, Lescott out - CB in as far as the defence is concerned.
  7. why are people even debating why/whether/whereforeartthou this £50m hasnt been spent on new players? I thought FFP meant you could spend that cash injection on infastructure. And we can spend our turnover on the squad? Which surely in the Championship has gone down considerably.
  8. OS https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2016/08/03/clark-joins-newcastle
  9. He has a year left on his contract at Palace and yesterday a media piece about him and mutch being allowed to leave by Pardew came out.
  10. Defensively Id like to see 5 out 3 in: Right Back Centre Back Midfield General (Lose Richards, Lescott, Clark, Sanchez and Veretout) Offensively, assuming McCormack signs It's still really hugely dependent on how RDM sees everyone. But Gestede, Kozak and Gabby all have massive question marks against them for different reasons and I doubt anyone would shed a tear if they ALL left. Sinclair seems on his way out already. Traore, Ayew, Grealish, McCormack could work. But where does he see their best positions? If Gestede and Gabby are still here I think we'd still need a Right Winger and Attacking Midfielder to compliment them. Oh and we'll probably need extra strikers at ACN time. Loaning/Buying Bamford would be very low risk imo and therefore a very good idea. But basically replace Gestede, Kozak, Gabby and Sinclair. Make sure one of the replacements is a right winger (or we're gonna be watching Bacuna) and if Ravel Morrison wants to come here get it done.
  11. I think he's 32 today. Happy Birthday Mr Crystal Palace dont seem to want me anymore.
  12. funny you should mention him. Jedinak's got a fan there methinks. Could train him up good (from last summer) http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/09/29/aston-villas-jordan-lyden-discusses-sherwood-compares-himself-to/
  13. Well after yesterdays announcement that he could be let go Im hoping he was moping about feeling sorry for himself and then from seemingly nowhere Twitter filled up with Villa fans all begging him to come here. Well played the fans. That will have caught his attention if nothing else.
  14. http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/soccer/english-soccer/newcastle-swoop-for-colin-clark-and-mohamed-diamé-1.2743025 Nice one Irish Times

  16. He likes a tackle. Good free kick taker. Won promotion with Palace. Think he was their captain for a bit. We need someone just like that imo although Id be surprised if some of the premier league clubs weren't in for him too.
  17. I think Jedinak would be a great addition.
  18. https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2016/08/02/gana-joins-everton Confirmed on the OS Bye then.
  19. or theres 12m quid incoming from the sales of Gana and Clark.
  20. What is the point of keeping them though? continuity? We didnt just get relegated last season we were inept.
  21. better players have left this club and we've been ok. If he's off I'll thank him for his service. No one can say he hasn't tried and that's all we can ask of players really. The fact that no one really cares says it all though doesn't it. Pragmatism might bring you to a point where there's a case for keeping him, and thats fair enough, but lets face it no one is that bothered right?
  22. Considering the stumbling block all these years under Lerner was the wage bill I can only see relegation exacerbating that. The need to farm out the players on big wages is even more important than it's ever been because the safety net of parachute payments will dry up very soon. Im not surprised we've had to wait a bit to let people leave. I just hope enough do to free up some money to get some players in who want to play for the club. You forget Tshibola, but the point remains valid imo.
