  1. I get what people see in him, but I think it's mostly style over substance. His ability on the ball can't be questioned - he's got bags of ability - but his decision making is infuriating at best. I agree with God in that he is one player who can hold his head high after last season. I don't doubt his application and effort. But he's exactly the sort of player I find it hard to warm to.
  2. I thought I'd missed something. didn't realise it was 6 years. Wow indeed.
  3. Quite important that prefix. IF it wasn't there it would be a fairly outlandish statement which might deserve the fall-out it has garnered. But it is. So it's a perfectly reasonable statement to me. Even if it is based on pure conjecture.
  4. Never one of my favourite bands either but never had a dislike for them. Either way, my 2p's worth on Kula Shaker is that I met Paul Winterhart the drummer briefly a few years ago with Kenwyn House from Reef while they were playing with the band Goldray. Thoroughly pleasant people and totally unpretentious the pair of them. On a gig note I went to see Ben Harper at Brixton Academy a couple of months ago. As someone who I used to like an album by about 15 years ago it was one of those things where you're not really chomping at the bit to get there but when you leave you remember what top quality musicians can do. Best gig for ages. Also the first time I'd been to Brixton Academy and I loved the place.
  5. Villa career goals to date for the current squad. 85 - Agbonlahor 10 - Gestede 9 - Ayew 8 - Kodjia 7 - Bacuna 5 - Westwood 4 - Kozak, Grealish 2 - McCormack, Richards 1 - Hutton, Gardner, Baker, Tishbola, Adomah (Just coz I'm bored and @BOF's done all the hard work anyway)
  6. Think we've waited long enough to let rip now haven't we? (And there's nothing new to argue about until Boxing day) On what Ive seen so far I'd go with this: Elphick - 5/10 Gollini - 6/10 Tshibola - unknown/10 (Where the hell is he?) McCormack - 4/10 Chester - 8/10 Jedinak - 6/10 De Laet - unlucky/10 - injured Kodjia - 8/10 Adomah - 7/10 To summarise overall a bit disappointed in McCormack and Elphick. Gollini and Jedinak have done ok. Adomah has been quite good. Kodjia and Chester are doing well. DeLaet was unlucky. Tishbola is the big question right now.
  7. Oh great so now if we disagree I have to have an argument with myself? Great Stuff. Last time I did that in public i got funny looks.
  8. I wonder if the guy at Wolves fancies a punt on Westwood or Bacuna or Cissokho. Or Kozak for that matter.
  9. Doubt the Chinese Super League would pay £6 for him even on taobao.
  10. Certainly a well used and often misplaced argument. we can agree on that. Not neccessarily what TRO was getting at though I felt. It's just frustrating that we havent really had anyone on the pitch and certainly in midfield who can properly compete and impose themselves on a game since Petrov. Delph maybe? Gana when he had a good day? While I think of it Delph should be a shining example for them to be honest. He's a bit dirty at times but after being a bit lightweight and having his injury woes in his younger days he basically manned up for want of a better phrase. The reasons why professional footballers and gymnasts/boxers etc will have varying physiques are vast. The question of why we have such a powderpuff midfield (Which Jedinak walks into even with his limitations) is pretty valid in my eyes.
  11. Fair play for posting something comprised completely of conjecture and pure speculation. You do get irony, right?
  12. also it is the inverted version (if you get when I mean) of the one used in Dads Army by Ian Lavender, design wise. Like this without the poppies.
  13. PMSL. Aston Villa + amazon. This is an actual thing for sale. What a treat for Mrs Villamarv this Xmas.
  14. There's alot of affection for the round badge. Id vote to go back to it in a heartbeat personally. As for the scarves. This one has crests down the side I think. I like the big 1874 myself.
  15. Remember the year we loaned him out and got relegated?
  16. Why are we doing giant douche or turd sandwich again?
  17. Did well today. Him and Baker is undoubtedly the way forward if we can keep them fit.
  18. another good game, seems to forming a nice partnership with Chester who was also solid today.
