I find it hard to believe that anyone on that list, with the exception of Amavi for obvious season long injury reasons, could be described as anything other than a failure of a signing for AVFC.

Yep he's pretty awful alright. However, everyone should remember he was a pretty good signing at the time. He may be bad but he was LOADS more solid than Bennett or Luna and at the time he was a bit of a godsend.

I don't disagree at all, Our choices are good but selfish, talented selfish no goals, pricey & underwhelmed, elbows and injuries, and out of shape hysterical caricature of a legend. Add in the overhyped wont sign and we're looking terrible despite the depth. I just think if we had 2 players out injured for 3-4 weeks we wouldn't usually be planning to add to the ranks to cover for them we'd be using the squad.

I cant see us going too much for a new striker. I think he wants 2 central midfielders and a left winger now. We'll find out over the next month I suppose but signing a striker now and giving them time to settle? When we have Ayew and Kodjia back in what 4 weeks or so? Most of us think Gabby and Kozak are a bit irrelevant at this stage and I think RHM would definitely be getting a chance if he signed up. But I think Bruce might play Grealish a bit more advanced off McCormack/Gabby and try and muddle through.

Id have him up there with the likes of Bergkamp to be honest. In fact thats probably as fair a comparison I can make. Very similar types of player.
