  1. Also got this the other day but only got a chance to listen. Actually very good, in the vein of Mastodon/Conjurer etc. Church Road well and truly taken that Holy Roar mantle that is for sure.
  2. That's pretty cool. I got the Wild Hunt on recommendation and didn't really stick but I think I'll get this one (and the last one as its pretty cheap!).
  3. I’ve had a knock on the door from Labour and the Christian Peoples Alliance(?) who are anti abortion, anti vax and feel Christians were not represented fairly. Fun telling them that in no way I would ever be voting for them A lot of flyering but mainly Labour. I did spot the “peaker blinder” candidate on the high street last weekend when I was put my postal vote on. Managed to dodge and dice any conversation though. I always thought his pub in town was a bluenose pub anyway.
  4. It’s a major labour safe seat so result is completely expected. To be honest Labour have completely carpet bombed with leaflets/adverts in the area and I’m sick of it. To be honest it might be that was part of the reason for the low turn out. And as for Tories getting votes in Erdington, it’s the same problem throughout the country. Tories are the party of the “middle class” and if you want to improve your station in life, you vote Tory. I know it is completely untrue but it’s part of the reason why they have always been a major political party. Until that stereotype is broken, they will always be there or there about.
  5. Don’t be silly, she just needed to go get some more milk for the tea run.
  6. It is only 1.5 miles from Villa Park That being said, given it is only on 1 side of the road with no easy access from the other way, it can be a bit of a pain to get into.
  7. This. In Birmingham (next to star city) they are always at least a penny cheaper than the rest of the city.
  8. Yeah it will be so will include Leeds in championship etc. More of a dig of him being the “saviour” but doesn’t do as well as DOL for them.
  9. Leeds bosses with best win rates Manager Games Wins Losses Win % Don Revie 740 395 148 53.4% Gary McAllister 50 25 17 50% David O'Leary 203 101 55 49.8% Simon Grayson 169 84 45 49.7% Marcelo Bielsa 169 80 56 47.3% * Includes only bosses who managed more than 50 games Not as good as DOL or Simon Grayson...
  10. Oh and it’s Swedish Death Metal. Philistines.
  11. No chance am I bloody Welsh, couldn’t stand all the sheep nor living on an “island”. And don’t get me started on that there reggae…
  12. Yeah my mum (also not a moron) but her political stance changed when she started reading the mail online. She use to prefer the times but as it wasn’t free she didn’t want to pay. Since then she started spouting more and more DM rhetoric which is really frustrating.
  13. This has crossed my mind. Putin is acting completely irreverent to his consequences seemingly both abroad and home. Despite everything he has seemed determined on this, maybe the actions of a man who knows that his time is short and so it doesn’t matter what people make of him or the consequences of the same?
  14. That's cool; don't think I got the remix album, might try and track it down...
  15. Absolutely, just think of all that Corporation Tax that they will pay because of it.
  16. ****. Great **** voice, done some amazing stuff over the years. His show at the Glee Club a few years back (2014/5 maybe?) was absolutely amazing. Wonderful and such a loss. Just add this, a song he did with Earth which I just love RIP
  17. The closest I think you get to “no set list” is probably bands like Clutch or Metallica who generally have a set rotation of songs of like 20 songs for the tour and pick from them like 14/15 or whatever to play. I remember seeing Sabaton do a “request” show but then they would give the audience a choice of 2 songs. Always pre determined sets.

    Tremor

Well you are mad, but at least you are right about this.
  19. Is that the one with Priest supporting? I'm sure that was originally due to take place in Feb 2019 but postponed initially due to his health. That'll be over 4 year delay
  20. I went to both nights. Originally got normal standing on pre release but then bought gold circle ones for both nights. I used the first night to scout out how close I could get and then for the final night was at the front ready to be let in first. Was almost running to front when I got to floor I saw that all of the meet and great lots we’re already there. Sold my other tickets via other agency. The one for the final night was sold to a Mr Lee Dorrian (Cathedral, Rise Above Records, ex-Napalm Death) which was pretty cool. I do suspect there will be another “Final” show though, so long as Ozzy can actually make it over. I’m glad I saw Dio with them as well when they were doing the Heaven & Hell shows. Biggest regrets? Machine Head back in 2001/2 when they played in a tiny venue as their cover band would have been cool. I did contemplate Motörhead on their last tour before Lenny died but didn’t bother in the end. I had seen them before though so not too bad. Led Zepplin is always going to be the hard one though (obviously), regret not jumping to go to the 2007 show. I did catch Robert Plant on his own a couple of years ago, however, I definitely regretted that
  21. With Magazines I still subscribe to Metal Hammer and have for many years. To be honest not sure why more than a force of habit than anything. Still read the reviews mainly but the interviews etc. are to be honest the usual trope of "our best album ever", "we are the most hardcore" or something similar so tend to just skip over them unless something catches me on them. I also did have subscription to Terrorizer until it collapsed as well. I find Readly helpful just to get a bit of different perspective of other music. Metal Hammer is on there but I do prefer the hard copy version as feel actually read it rather than scan the magazines. Definitely would recommend Readly if you want to have a glance at magazines to see what you like though. For £8 or whatever it is a month, you do get A LOT of magazines/newspapers etc.
  22. Just to bump this and say having given the new Zeal & Ardor a few more spins, this is a **** phenomenal album. A real modern metal masterpiece. All the singles released were great but the album is just excellent. Anyone of metal orientation should listen to it. Wow. The Cult Of Luna is also really cool but not given enough time yet. Probably a little glad that my copy of the new Rolo Tomassi has delayed a little to give me some time later to listen to it. Still got to give the Napalm Death EP/mini album(?) a spin as well!
  23. Looking at how bad wimpy burgers really are is a far better use of your time
  24. I definitely know that pain. One of the 2nd hand retailers from Amazon does that as well but I can never remember which one. Really p*sees me off!
