  1. QPR are still in business and plodding along, they are our canary down the mine. Rest easy folks.
  2. Walking into work just knowing I was going to be regaled with every single team member's traffic story, in detail. Yes, there was traffic. Yes, we were all stick in it. No, I have never seen anything like it. x13 responses.
  3. Has pretty much had 6 months off already so should be working OT at bodymoor for the next two months in order to be ready for pre-season tbh.
  4. He just looks like Rio towards the end to me. A fraction off the pace in everything he does and always has a clanger in him now. It is those absolute fine margins that drop you off significantly.
  5. Zouma isn't much better either. Standard all muscle and brawn but utterly clueless. Kone MK II.
  6. Definitely past it. I keep hearing him say he still has some left in the tank but I really don't see it.
  7. No, this was when he was on loan at Burnley, so maybe a 20 year old playing Division One football ( or whatever it was at the time) They said he was lightyears ahead of any striker in the league.
  8. Yes, I had one of these work flirting kind of relationships. After months of wondering whether she was just joking, playing around with me or we were both just messing about, there was the work's Christmas party. A bit of alcohol cleared that situation up for both of us. DHUTWU. On the subject of ex girlfriends getting into contact this also happened to be a year or so back. After nearly 10 years of no contact she turned up on my doorstep asklng me how I was (how she got my address I still don't know) Now when I went out with this lady I was probably 19 and she was nearly 30, she dumped me and being a young kid I was absolutey devastated. Now 10 years later, me being in my prime (if I do say so myself) and her being well past her prime... it was quite easy to turn that one down. I was too kind rejecting her looking back, I should have gave her a proper piece of my mind...because this lady pretty much took all my naivety and her experience and did a number on me.
  9. I remember at the time there were the 606 message boards on the BBC website, which basically had a different message board for every league club where you could go and have a chat with their fans. The Burnley board were adament pretty much to a man that Cahill would play for England and that he was the best defender they had ever seen. I shall never forget that, they called it.
  10. I am just a realist, buddy. Plus, I have played FM a lot.
  11. Seriously, this club must be absolutely raking in the money and they are aguing over paying a tribunal fee ( which are always very kind to the buying club)
  12. It seems if we don't have to pay a player to leave nowadays it's good business tbh.
  13. It is quite staggering how much he regressed. There was one point where I loved Brad, he was pulling out the kind of saves where you just don't expect him to make them. He was straight off his line and confidently claiming balls in the final minutes of tight games, releaving so much pressure. Then it all just went to rat shit. Maybe he grew tired and lost all motivation after the same things year after year, realising we were never going to push forward. Maybe it is all a confidence game and he was gradually dragged down along with the club. Be interesting to find out one day. Edit : Yes I watched the Chelsea game and the 3 goals went straight through him. He just had the look of a man who knew he wasn't saving them, not even doing the basics. Not reading the shots. Not reacting. Hesitant. Just falling. Tim Howardesque. Shot to bits.
  14. I can remember I was. I think we could have done worse than keep Davies at the club but it became more and more obvious that at this point in his career he needed his hand holding pretty much through the entire 90 minutes, and hadn't grew up yet. He has had a decent career. Zat Knight wasn't as bad as we expected but it was only a matter of time ge reverted to being shit, as the previous 10 years of his career showed us.
  15. Anichebe did that earlier in the year. Says it all when footballers nowadays need to be told to write such basic stuff like that.
  16. I bet the other guy on the show will have the opposite view so callers can call in to not only agree with him but disagree with the other.
  17. I agree that he doesn't really care...about what is good for the club, or what the fans want. He will do 2 year stint, pick up a few trophies for himself(looking more likely to be the B trophies nowadays) and then jump ship again. No idea where he has left to go after that.
  18. Would you be embarrassed to be surrounded by winners when you couldn't hold down a place in a team that finished 13th in the Championship?
  19. Indeed. I play football with a lot of lads born here but with heritage in Asia. Nobody supports Villa. Three brothers for instance support Spurs, Liverpool and I think Man United between them.
  20. There are more than happy to sit back and let Celta Vigo dominate the game. At Old Trafford. Let that sink in. This is now acceptable? This is Man United for Christ sake.
