  1. It has been a dismal season but that's not Sherwood's fault. He picked us up when we were in a hell of a mess and managed to drag us over the line. That said, I'm not entirely convinced that long term he's the right guy. Regardless, the FA cup is not going to be a decisive factor in what has been a terrible season overall. There's a lot of work to be done this summer.
  2. When he's on he's a good player to have, when he's off he's absolutely diabolical.
  3. Not at fault for the goal - released it quickly to start some counters, his kicking may have been a bit off but still, not a bad performance.
  4. I apologise for the way I feel right now. This. 'Good. Well, not 'good' but not exactly bad either... erm...'
  5. This - he didn't really do that much in those games, in all honesty.
  6. Load of crap, glad we're not relegated.
  7. Why does that matter R.Bear? Even if he did, is he not allowed to change his opinion?
  8. I'm a little worried Sherwood's going to be a bit 'jobs for the boys' this summer and just get people like Button in. There's no way he's anywhere near as good as Guzan but he'd be fiercely loyal to Sherwood.
  9. I think he's got an eye on how much he needs to spend - realising it'd be cheaper to re-sign Vlaar than get in a new CB.
  10. I hope we don't renew with Macron - I'm not a fan.
  11. Be interesting to see how this one pans out. Could definitely be a good signing, could be he goes to pieces again. I'd like to see him playing instead of N'Zogbia, that's for sure.
  12. Exactly - you don't start at the price you're willing to sell at, do you?
  13. As it stands, I don't think we should be spending 15mil on a striker - if Benteke goes, we'll need to get someone else in but other than that I think we'd be better off investing in the defence.
  14. In fairness right now Stoke to Villa would be considered a sideways move. Perhaps, but that's also a reason to move. Villa at their lowest ebb equals Stoke at their highest, so why wouldn't you jump ship in that scenario if you were offered it. In fairness right now Stoke to Villa would be considered a sideways move. Perhaps, but that's also a reason to move. Villa at their lowest ebb equals Stoke at their highest, so why wouldn't you jump ship in that scenario if you were offered it. They're going to finish 9th this year - we're not going to finish much higher than that any time soon. The money's the same, the chance of winning something is the same, there's no real point in him moving. If both clubs were in for the same player, we'd almost certainly sign him over them but that's a different kettle of fish.
  15. Unless he's on a free, it'd be quite a faff to get him. We'd have to pay a big wedge for him and we're not that much of step up from Stoke - we only are in terms of tradition, really. He wouldn't be getting paid a whole lot more, he's not going to win a whole lot more - just seems like a largely pointless move. Don't want him anyway Me neither.
  16. Lambert would never have said that in that situation, if that's what you're getting at.
  17. Not to mention the suicidal high line that Sherwood had us playing.
  18. Some of them seemed to be. Whatever, you guys need to get over it - we're not Liverpool fans, so there's no point crying about this.
  19. Sorry edited - I meant players and that definitely does make a big difference IMO.

  21. Totally different sort of thing - I doubt the QPR fans were getting aggressive with the Newcastle players.
  22. He's mental - not sure I'd want to run the risk.
  23. I couldn't care less if I'm wrong from time to time - it happens and it's not exactly important. Furthermore, you form opinions based on the evidence or your feelings at the time and if that changes, then that opinion isn't really relevant any more.
  24. The worst game he's had for us and possibly the worst he's had in his career. I like Ron but on the strength of that and his other slips in the last few games, I don't think we should be offering him a new deal after all.
  25. It's happened a few times for him but as you said he's a young manager - it's all part of the process. The test now is how he regroups the team and how we perform in the next two games.
