No he isn't ffs. He made a mistake but then he's been out for ages, it's no surprise he was rusty.

He's a bloody dangerous player on his day. Unfortunately, he has about 6 'days' a season.

We really need to focus our spending on a small number (2 or 3) quality additions - namely some full-backs that can defend and attack reasonably well because we've got ones that can do either but not both and it seems to be a big part of Sherwood's tactics.

Premier league goalies I'd rather have than Guzan: De Gea Courtois Cech Lloris Hart None of whom are remotely close to gettable. I don't think we'd be able to get someone in who's noticeably better than Guzan and wouldn't cost us at least ten mil - so I just can't see how it's worth the hassle. We've got a good enough keeper at the moment and surely the money could be better spent in other areas? I.E. Two good fullbacks who can do the job Sherwood wants them to do.

Firstly, they're all CBs and are clearly defined as such. Bacuna hasn't really made any position his own because his skillset doesn't really suit any position. Secondly, Clark and Baker had this said about them despite showing potential to grow into the role and young CBs make errors, it's how they learn. Anyone saying the above about Vlaar, at best, was/is just plain wrong. I haven't seen any performance from Bacuna that says to me that he can be a good enough first choice Right Back for us. I think his best position is probably as a RM, seeing as his crossing is good.

Adelaide is absolutely crawling with Liverpool supporters and I can't handle him going there. The red shirts with his name on it the sudden elevation in their rating of him to world class striker the bullshit "it's a shame for you guys but really he did have to step up to a contender to further himself" lines as they battle for Europa League spots "Oh he didn't have anyone like Coutinho or Henderson feeding him the ball last year that's why he's so good now" I will **** go insane if he goes to Liverpool. I'd rather he go to West Brom. Makes your skin crawl just thinking about it, doesn't it? Urgh.

Just being able to cross the ball isn't enough though Naz, definitely not in the current game. He's not defensively solid, he's prone to errors and doesn't make good decisions.

I hate to say this as I like and rate Ron but I think we should cut our losses.

He can't attack though and so doesn't fit into Sherwood's plans. I expect he'll be sold in the summer.

Agbonhlahor is part of the bigger problem, the players who aren't good enough yet are eating away our wage budget. Gabby, N'Zogbia, Bent, Given - get rid of them and we're looking at 200k minimum per week saved but it's a lot easier said than done because nobody really wants them. Back to Gabby though - in the last 5 seasons, he's scored 33 goals in 164 games. That's awful, it really is.

Our defence doesn't need a complete overhaul. We've got some good CBs there - just our full-backs (god knows how many times we've said this) aren't up to scratch. If we played defensively, I'd be happy with Cissokho and Hutton but it's clear as day that they aren't good at attacking.

Given how heavily linked we are with Luongo, I'd be very surprised if we don't get him.

I'd rather see him at Chelsea than Liverpool, in all honesty. The thought of their fans fawning over him and calling him one of their own, as they usually do, makes me feel sick.

Look guys, a lot of the worries about Sherwood come from fear of the unknown. People are concerned precisely because there's nothing to say what Sherwood'll be like in the transfer market - he could be absolutely awful, he could great or more likely he'll be in the middle of that somewhere. Given all the crap we've had served up to us over the last few years, surely you can forgive people for being several times bitten, even more times shy?

But he has subsequently shown that season was a one-off. He hasn't surpassed mediocrity for a good while. He can certainly be upgraded on, whether his replacement will be an improvement is another matter. I can't say that I'm liking the links to that 26 year old from Brentford. Absolute tripe. He's a far from mediocre keeper ffs.

I think getting rid of him is going to be very difficult.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to not be sold on Sherwood yet - he's got some very good results for us but let's be honest, he's not shown any real tactical nous yet and didn't really at Spurs either, so it's a legitimate concern.

Has he balls Vlaar's going through an uncharacteristic bad patch - this is the worst he's been for us and this is not his normal level. Collins made mistakes all the time.

Yep - it's been another awful season. We've got to sort things out and have a better one next season - starting with a bit of a clear-out and some fresh blood in.

Guzan could be our keeper for the next decade - I'd much rather Given was a little bit upset than Brad.
