  1. That game was tailor made for Henri lansbury. Genuinely think he would have had the passing and creativity to unlock a stubborn defence. Probably the best no. 8 we currently have Not even kidding
  2. I know it is impractical for a number of reasons but wouldnt it be brilliant if clubs, owners, managers and players started calling the media out like this every time they published made up nonsense
  3. Will help jack too I imagine. People have accused him of slowing the game down in the past and not releasing teammates earlier etc. But maybe that's because he has gotten used to playing with dross that don't make early positive quick runs for him to pick out
  4. if he doesnt sign can we please agree to delete this thread and never to speak of it again. a gentlemans pact to consign this embarassing phase to the deep recesses of history
  5. He'd cost millions (Obscure reference I know)
  6. im not so sure. you would have to question why it took the board til saturday to talk to Jack about his future. personally I think they were hanging on just in case an offer came through that was too tempting to turn down. At the end of the day every player has his price and the owners are pragmatic business men
  7. would be fairly ironic if if Hourihane got the heave ho and Grealish stayed after Hourihane pimping Jack out in interviews at the start of the summer
  8. really like Barkley the player but he comes across as a right mardy bum
  9. Thought he played well last night but in an ex pro playing in an exhibition match alongside paddy kielty kinda way. He can spray it about really well with real panache but is so so immobile. And then you realise he is only 29!
  10. This Martinaez transfer is getting McGinn levels of positive vibes from the arsenal fans. warms the cockles of your heart
  11. I do feel sorry for Heaton - he's a really good player and pro and wasn't his fault he got injured. No doubt he has been working hard to get back to fitness But whenever I feel sorry for a player I picture them pushing their wheelbarrows full of cash through their solid gold houses and I get over it. At the end of the day it's what's best for Aston villa and signing Martinez is it
  12. sell him to Brentford but include a 25% sell on clause. Boom, £5m coming our way in a years time
  13. Play the duds. Get em in the shop window so we can get rid and make room for actual footballers
  14. i wouldnt worry - Mourinho had Football Manager running on his computer in the background to one scene in All or Nothing. its a very powerful database
  15. Clemens Fritz must have an over/under bet on 300 pages on this topic before he signs
  16. Burkino Faso fella, who plays for a French Club has a medical in Denmark to move to an English club. Football can be weird
  17. Very exciting signing. One of those high ceiling, low floor signings that are synonymous with attacking flair positions. May be that a new start and fresh surroundings are what he needs to reignite his form and it is an upside that he has played in England before. So we are getting a foreign flair player but hopefully skipping the part where they take a year to bed in because they haven't lived in the country before/ don't know the language etc. From what I can tell he is an upgrade on AEG and will bring some pace and directness to the team
  18. Good players make other players better. Genuinely think we will see more from trez and AEG and even hourihane when they have a clever mobile strong striker to supply
  19. How does jack get so much stick for his haircut when you look at the state of these Leeds lads. Philips looks ridiculous
  20. My word we are going to have a lot of keepers on our books
  21. Still see him more as a number 10 than a winger
  22. Remember that time when we couldn't pay our tax bill and thought the club was gonna fold?
  23. bit scrawny that fella. needs a good feed
