  1. It should but we’re not a very well run club. We get it wrong too often in the transfer market. Unfortunately, when you only bring in a certain amount of revenue, you need to get it right when you’re spending £30-£50m on players and handing out contracts worth £125k+ a week. We’ve been particularly poor since Grealish left. Hopefully the Summer window with Emery in charge will really help.
  2. Not really. We’re exactly where we deserve to be. We’re an average PL side, perhaps even below average. We have a good manager but he can’t perform miracles with a set of players who aren’t top half quality. Im just happy we’re not in the relegation mix.
  3. It’s funny, some of us will be upset when we lose to City later. Then you see a photo like this and I know it’s a bit of a cliche, but it REALLY does put things into perspective. I’ve deliberately not read too much about this earthquake, not because I don’t think it’s important, nor because I’m not interested in it, but because I’m not able to comprehend such tragedy. I know it’s bad, but I’m trying to block it out because it’s just too sad. The utmost respect to the people who survived and have to pull out bodies and try to save lives against all odds. The things they must see is the stuff of nightmares.
  4. You’ve just completely ruined my day, probably my weekend and possibly next week. That is absolutely horrific.
  5. There probably won’t be one, given the amount of money we’re paying him. Either way, I still expect there to be interest. If Rice is being touted around at £100m, Kamara is of a similar quality and a couple of years younger… you’d expect the top clubs to be looking at him either as an alternative or somebody that can improve their side.
  6. There may well be clubs interested and willing to bid big on Kamara. I don’t think we’ll lose him but might be something to be prepared for. He may even have a release clause in his contract.
  7. Borderline but he was offside. Doesn’t matter though. It’s good to see him channelling his inner Scott Hogan and making those clever runs. Finish wasn’t bad either. Would love him to go back to a Championship club next season who are fighting for promotion and score 25+ goals. I really think he has that in him.
  8. We’ll be closer to relegation than we will be to a European spot. Wolves and Leicester will both catch us.
  9. That Kelleher is supposed to be decent at Liverpool but I think we’ll go shopping in the Spanish league for our next keeper
  10. He’ll almost definitely leave this summer so I guess it’s just about getting the right fee for him now. Would be nice to replace him with someone good and have money left over to invest in another position. Which we should be able to do given he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
  11. Yeh, I think we’ve got some good players. Martinez, Young, Mings, Konsa (could be improved upon), Moreno looks decent. Kamara and Luiz look good this season and Ramsey has lots of potential. I actually quite like Watkins too albeit he frustrates. Cash/McGinn are also very useful players too to have in the squad. The rest need to be improved upon. Traoré, Buendia, Bailey aren’t the answer.
  12. Both aren’t good enough. I doubt both will be starting for us next year. If Buendia can put in performances like he did today on a consistent basis, then perhaps that might change. Close to giving up on Bailey. Tried to stick with him but it just isn’t happening for him. He’s dreadful in nearly every match he plays.
  13. Still the best centre half at the club. It’s been that way for the past 4 years. I’m happy if the club want to bring in another centre half to replace him in the summer but they’ll have a job on their hands finding one for a reasonable price that is as good. Least of our worries tbh.
  14. I’m not sure he has to play. You could easily play Moreno on the left in midfield or push Buendia in behind Watkins
  15. I think there’ll be a few clubs in for him I’m afraid.
  16. If he plays like he did today, sure. He needs to back up that performance with another good one next week!
  17. This mistake will happen to other players as well. The team is being coached to take risks playing out from the back in order to keep possession. It’s not pretty at times but I can’t see it changing. I said months ago that we’d concede goals by playing this way. I guess you just have to weigh up whether it’s a net positive overall playing in this fashion.
  18. McGinn on the right and Ramsey on the left. Buendia in behind Watkins.
  19. Seems to be regressing at a fairly alarming rate. He was never a sensible signing but at least he played reasonably well when he came in. Now he looks really poor. A complete waste of money tbh.
  20. I think McGinn might come in for him next game with another player pushed further forward.
