    He’s nowhere near good enough to make it as a PL player, you could see that from the youth cup victory a couple of years back. Of all those players, only maybe Chukwuemeka will make it. Kessler and Ramsey have an outside chance. Of our current crop, the one that stands out the most is Irroegbunam. I think he may have an impact at this level but the rest of them will probably ply their trade in the lower divisions. Which is fine, they’ll still be very wealthy.

    Lol man, lol. I don’t know much about Chukwueze but have you seriously put him in a bracket alongside Sterling and Grealish.

    Physically, he’s a beast. I imagine him and Watkins could go out and run a marathon today without breaking a sweat. There are some elements to his game that need improving, like, I think he can go missing at times, but he’s already developed into a solid PL player. Just how good he will become, remains to be seen but his ability running with the ball and driving towards the opposition is superb.

    I think the club would listen to sensible offers for Buendia, Coutinho and Bailey. Doubt they’d arrive though!

    2 loans, a back up central midfielder and a free centre half? We’ll spend big as and when we’re ready to. I’d much rather spend smart than blow it all. We’ve been burnt with the Buendia, Bailey and Ings transfers (although I hope Bailey comes good). We need to properly target players and pay the right price. The players you mention probably have a total of 200 minutes of game time in the league this season.

    I think the club would like to get rid of Digne and redistribute his wages across the team and new players. Cash is a funny one. He’s a player we can get a fee for, so maybe the club will let him go and use the fee for a new right back? One things for sure, if we’re serious about top 6/8, we need better players. Players like Cash and Digne aren’t going to get us there unfortunately.

    Really? I know they’ve got money but I wouldn’t say they’ve spent THAT much yet. Also, signing Wood meant Burnley went down and they didn’t. It was a shrewd bit of business.

    He is very good. Always liked Scott but largely because he reminds me so much of Grealish.

    I don’t think MGW cost anywhere near that much - closer to 25m - and he’s actually quite a good player. You might be right. Signing players from abroad is certainly a lot cheaper but carries a risk. Gordon at 30m too much..?
