  1. So we're in for Gallagher then? For what it's worth, I think he'd be a good signing at the right price. But what the f*** even is the right price anymore. £30m would get you a very good midfielder 18 months ago. Now it doesn't seem to go very far at all!
  2. I've unblocked AVFCFaithful for 48hrs, then I'll stick the clown back on mute until the last 48hrs of the next transfer window. Man is an absolute oddball.
  3. Do they still have Okay in their side? If so, they’re putting together a team of adjectives. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton.
  4. I imagine we've bid and not matched their valuation. That's the part the press isn't picking up. I think the interest is real but it's too late in the window now I feel to get it done.
  5. A bit of reverse psychology might do the trick. Hopefully he is reading this. You know what David, I DON'T think you have what it takes to get Marvelous his move.
  6. We're all with Manasseh today. Je suis Manasseh.
  7. That's the problem. He just makes shit up. I usually only stick to Villareport, but I got all excited with it being so close to the window slamming the f*** shut .
  8. Are you saying Dendoncker doesn't have the ability to beat a man and whip a cross in?
  9. It will be a bench that has McGinn, Digne and Dendoncker on it though. Not saying it's strong, but there are a few options. Add Carlos to the mix in a couple of weeks time and it's not THAT bad!
  10. As much as it pains me to quote that bellend AVFCFaithful_, here we go....
  11. He's just like bloody Villareport is that HalfTimePost. Either making stuff up or plagiarising.
  12. I've only seen Gallagher a handful of times and each time, I've been impressed. He was far and away Palace's best player in the match where we beat them 2-0 at their place under Gerrard. Didn't he also really impress in an England shirt on his debut? I don't think we'll sign him, I don't even think we're interested, but he's not a bad player. He's around the same level as Ramsey. I certainly don't think he's any worse than Ramsey.
  13. So the door isn't closed at all then. They're just waiting for an offer close to £40m I imagine.
  14. Sure. I don't doubt it. I just feel he'd have preferred someone from La Liga that he might know better who might be better value.
  15. I think this point gets overlooked a lot. The same people saying Purslow has only made one mistake are probably the same people lamenting the fact we aren't signing anyone. Well, I'm afraid that is a symptom of spending huge sums of cash on transfer fees, wages and hiring managers.
  16. That would be a weird one as we've been linked to him for what seems to be forever. Would suggest Emery doesn't have total control, unless Emery himself really happens to like the player and wants him.
  17. I'd take both tbh, as long as there was a buy option at a reasonable price.
  18. Definitely. And to a club that then gets promoted so they can give us a few million for him!! (dreaming I know).
  19. I do agree with what you're saying, but it's hard to just 'let it go' when we're still paying the price of Gerrards tenure. It's not just letting go of an argument with your missus, or if your mate owes you a fiver....We're paying close to 300k a week in wages to Digne and Coutinho. It's not just that to be honest, I think we've been less than impressive on the footballing side of things in the last 2/3 years. Basically, ever since Grealish left. We've spent/wasted a LOT of money. The Gerrard appointment/sacking alone probably cost the club close to £20m. I wouldn't be best pleased if that was my money! I don't know what Purslow does, or doesn't do, so it's hard to criticize, but given he's the man at the helm, I guess the buck stops with him. Either way, hopefully we've turned a corner now that Emery is 'at the wheel'. Onwards and upwards* *Our transfer market activity/policy still worries me.
