  1. As Vertongen was so desperate last night............ http://shop.avfc.co.uk/shop/aston-villa-home-shorts-2013-14/index.html Buy your own!
  2. Had to go back to page 4 to find this thread which says something. Having watched him tonight I really wonder what he brings to the team, which begs the questions Why hasn't he been loaned out? Why hasn't he been sold on?
  3. Hopefully, the fact that he has a rival for his place will improve his game. And hopfully the fact that Luna can see the same will sharpen his too.
  4. Aah, so we look at the quality of the opposition and then the fact that Villa had a plethora of injuries and then decide at the last minute that this match was worth a pop? Hell yeah!!! As if. I was there BTW.
  5. Thought we were okay-ish 1st half, without creating much. Kozak's hold up play was good, his knock ons would have been more effective had Gabs or Andi been on the pitch. Then we conceded at the worst time. Started the 2nd half well considering the subs that were made and should have had a penalty, which if we'd have scored it, then who knows. They then went up the other end, won an iffy free kick and the rest is history In the end though, we were piss poor with only the odd positive popping to the surface. Thought Albrighton, Bennett and Bacuna did ok, Tonev was slightly better than at Norwich and Steer wasn't too bad, bar looking a bit laid back at times. Still, onwards and upwards.
  6. Swansea are at the sty and they're in the same boat as Spores so a simple toss up type decision I'd say. Why they just don't give the Welsh side a bye, I don't know!
  7. Patience is in short supply all round, it seems.
  8. Who were you tackled by Turnbull? Was it Fred Turnbull? Ha ha, I'm not that old!! I actually went over on it early doors, not pleasant, made me feel a bit sick but I got through somehow. Wish I hadn't though, I must admit.
  9. So Luna is 5 games into his career in a new league in a new country and already some posters want him out and Bennett in. Well they'll probably get their wish tomorrow night seeing as he could be out injured, so we can all hope Joe has an absolute stormer of a game and teaches the little Spaniard a lesson for coming over here "taking his job".
  10. I can see a lot of similarities between Sunderland and Wolves. They're both shit.
  11. Can I say I once played 80 minutes of a game with a fractured ankle? I can? Good, cos I did!!
  12. I remember a Cov fan saying that to me once........................
  13. Mark me down as someone who's willing to give the guy a chance.
  14. Good to see changes IMO, just hoping they work or at least show positive signs. Come on you Lions, UTV.
  15. One for Mr Mooney http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycYewhiaVBk
  16. Weimann can be replaced without the system being changed. He has been poor so far this season and deserves to lose his place. Not really sure why so many of you want to give up on him so quickly. He hasn't been at his best but he can turn that around at Norwich. He scored 2 goals there in the cup last season. I think it depends on what reason people have for "dropping" Andi.
  17. Decent game between Borussia Monchengladbach and Eintracht Braunschweig tonight. Strange fact: Eintracht Braunschweig translates as Concord Brown Silence. German's weird, innit?
  18. I'd like to see Tonev in for Wiemann at Narch, he'd offer us something different and someone the home side know nothing about. Are people serious when they say this is the game that Bennett should replace Luna (after 1 bad game, only his 4th in this country)? Really, are they?? Sorry to be OT folks.
  19. You are a nutter, Gail!! But Lambo does know how to keep a clean sheet, at Carrow Road at least............. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17973120
  20. Actually a really good car We understand................
  21. I must say that I wouldn't be too put out if Michael Laudrup ever became Villa manager.
