I am totally fed up with us being set up as a counter attacking team, at the least if you do this you ensure you have the players fast enough to play this way, we are slow of thought, lethargic in play, poor at ball possession and shite at passing, a really poor team, the tactics, fight and movement are non existent, the blame must lie with the manager and coaching staff, Corners, throw ins and free licks, do we even train for these as they all seem the same, We are a very predictable team who are easy to beat if you have decent players as has been shown by all the clubs around us we have played, we pass sidewards and back trying to bring teams out and then try and hoof it over them, teams just fill the box and stay back and then we are stumped, counter attacking only works against teams that attack you so when we inevitably go a goal down we have no ideas on how to break a team down, Sorry but Bruce has to go as he is out of ideas.

The football if you can call it that we play is slow, predictable and went out with wimbledon, We have no flair players, little running off the ball to create space and when we do the players we have do not look to find the player, the team are playing as a defensive unit like rabitts caught in the headlights. what Sherwood did was take the shackles off and say have fun but unfortunately he had minimal talent to work with. Any good manager worth his salt can get these players playing better with confidence and a game plan, Bruce unfortunately has not inspired the players or even got them playing as a unit with a plan in 10 months and must go now before he screws up the whole season, he may win a few games and even get us going on a run by nicking 1 - 0 victories but this is not sustainable in todays game as shown last year. We need a team and system that gets us looking like we can win 3 or 4 nil and forces the opposition onto the back foot.

To be fair the point you make are valid and he may not be the man to take us forward on the field, looking at the problems as a whole though it is obvious that there was serious problems with both the players and the coaching staff off the field, the Dr has said it was not just performances that got RDM the sack. In my humble opinion SB was brought in not just to get us promoted but to sort out the rest of the crap that was bringing the club down using his experience, with this in mind I am prepared to give him time to get it right this season as we are not going up so it is the perfect chance to sort out tactics and the playing staff. There are a number of players out of contract this summer or who will leave after enjoying loan spells so we will still be in transition in the summer.

Gotta praise SB, said he knew the problems and would fix it but it takes time, his first job was to tighten us up and make us hard to beat building confidence at the same time, he has achieved this now so I guess the next step was to start working on the attacking side of play, I think we could see evidence of this last night and it will only improve as he spends more time with them on the training pitch, someones gonna get a hammering soon, it will just take a couple of early goals. Really impressive from the big man. We deserved a win last night but the main thing was not to lose and keep the run going and the confidence improving, exciting times ahead. Brighton are a good team who will bully teams but got a taste of their own medicine last night and it was no surprise that we dominated at the end when their heads dropped and their defense was pulled out of position and into a state of panic.

Did MON actually walk away from a tough challenge though, he is a man with principles and morals and it could be that he was made promises then had them broken with a take it or leave it choice. Dont forget he actually got paid off for walking out by the club so I still believe there was more to it than we knew about.

Tony got a manager on the basis of his C.V which in fairness was a good one, sometimes things do not work out and managers do not work in the new set up. It can take a while for the manager to turn things round, Martinez was close to getting the boot at Everton now look at them. We look devoid of confidence, a plan, a system, ideas and worst of all desire. for this I do blame the manager, not Tony who has no input into selection, training and game plans and neither should he. How people can say it is a carry over from last year is beyond me, we have pretty much a new team with only a few from last year remaining, how can players deemed not good enough for us turn into great players for new teams, surely we should be getting the best from them, the coaching staff have changed and yet we still make the same mistakes as last year with no improvements. RDM has to be sacked if only because we are getting worse, ignoring the basics and showing a total lack of unity. Hopefully Tony will rely on the team he has put in place who know more about football matters and let them decide the next manager with alot more forethought and football knowledge. It is still early enough in the season to turn things round so urgency is the requirement. Tony is not a fool and he will insist on results, at the moment he is as embarrassed as the rest of us despite his comments so I dont think it will be long.

Love this player but god is he frustrating, he had a superb run and hit the post, yes it was a great shot and unlucky but after that he had his hands on his head and turned away from goal showing his disappointment, while this is understandable the ball was still in play and in our possession and he should have been running into the box.

I think he is a breath of fresh air, love him or hate him most people are constantly checking for his comments on Twitter. He does need to be careful though as the tweets abut Gabby should not have been said. It was a private meeting and should have been kept that way. by all means say you had a meeting but the other comments are not necessary and can only hurt player management trust.

I can not help but think it may have as much to do with the off field antics and his attitude as much as his poor performances. It has been rumored for a while about players causing trouble and dividing the changing room.

On a positive it ay just push the Doc into getting more players, Richards, Hutton, Gardner, Gestede, Okore should be shown the door quickly. they are pathetic.

I thought he said he was investing £50m in the squad. he also said it will cost the club money to remove certain players from the squad and maybe this will come out of the money so it is not as straight forward as buying players.

People have short memories Everton although always there or there ablout in the top ten were always a team that stopped playing for two months of a season. they could have done much more but always stalled. the football they played was dour as well. When he left Everton the fans were happy.

he should get a bonus then for going above and beyond.

I think his words in the interview were telling when he said we played like a team even with a lack of talent sometimes. He has been totally let down by the team. If he does get the sack then I just do not expect any other manager to move us forward without changing the squad.

TBF it was obvious to anybody we were going down in Jan. Throwing money at the problem does not always work. Newcastle have done that and they may pay the price if as it looks like they go down with us. We need a fresh start and a new approach as the one we have is shocking.

In a way he is right, we got young players in but not experienced players to balance the side, most pundits thought we would struggle, also maybe he is saying we have not got rid of bad apples and these have to be removed. At least he is facing the cameras and giving us something even if it not what we want to here. better than the previous silence coming from the club

To be fair he did not have that much to do, caught a few crosses and only made the one flap, his kicking does not fill me with confidence though and he really needs to learn to distribute the ball quicker and that does not just mean to the nearest player on the edge of the box.

I would argue he does not deserve to be on the bench till he gets his head right, constant falling over when touched and waving his arms at the ref, moaning, walking round and a poor touch. he was an embarrassment last night, if an opposition player did what he did we would have slaughtered him every time he got the ball, If he wants to win the crowd over then he needs to show some passion, win a tackle, go round his man, shoot, pass the ball (to a villa player would be helpful). Last night he looked like a spoiled primadonna and should have been subbed way before he was.

We were pretty pedestrian for most of the match, we even started booing the back passes in the second half, we just made it so easy for them to get back into position and defend, Two decent goals and to be honest its what we deserved as they never really tested us and it was like watching a training match. Grealish needs to get fitter and stop ending up on his arse, even the home fans were getting bored of it, no surprise when he was replaced just in how long it took. Gill and Gana both showed why they are first team players when they came on and turned the game for us. Not a great match but now unbeaten in 4.

Actually thinking about it you are right it does,

I can not tell if he will be good or bad but the football on the pitch will not be his priority in his position. We are being run as a business and as such his responsibilities will be to ensure that each department is being run both efficiently and effectively. It is a fact that we have been poor as a business financially falling behind other clubs on the commercial front for many years and the finances we have for wages and players reflect this. His job will be to ensure the correct people are in the correct roles and are achieving their briefs or he will get rid and replace them with someone who will. He is not about public speaking so I do not feel worried about the interview. The fact he said buying the best players does not ensure success is correct. Liverpool Chelsea and Man C have the best squads but are not firing on all cylinders where Leicester West Ham are showing team effort with the right players can be as effective. We have seen the results of some of the contracts given to average players with daft release clauses etc and how it has been detrimental to us, hopefully he will ensure that this stops and we are more aware of the future and how these things will hurt us. Give him time to establish himself and implement the changes needed, although to the average fan we may not see what it is he does until the finances are released next season.

could be Remi making a statement saying this is the alternative to a statue to get funds.
