I did not say I agreed with it but can understand it, at the time it was happening little was known or said about depression, from a management point of view JG just wanted him on the pitch performing to his best and earning his money. He could not understand Stans illness and it lead to frustration as it also did with the majority of the fans, This is not the reason I dont like him but his constant garbage he speaks on talk trash and his constant references to Villa as if he is ITK,

To be fair he had a great squad to work with, just needed a couple of additions to go the next step, Dont really give a hoot about Stan, over rated and talks total tripe, all the incidents he had that were published in the media just show a bit of what the managers had to put up with him at the time, Can understand JG frustration, how can anybody having the lifestyle adoration and money they had at this time expect any normal person to see why they are depressed.

I still think there are candidates to be interviewed at the moment which is why it is so quiet, Randy will take a while to chose the right man as he has to be seen not to act on impulse or fan emotion, I dont think we will here anything until the end of this week or the beginning of next week, not only that but it may not even be anybody we think it may be,

There better not be a clause to move in the first couple of years, if this is the request then I would not go with him at all, This job requires full commitment over a few years, with SAF at the age he is and the way the noisy neighbours are pushing him I can see him retiring next year. Mind you even if he did I could not see Man U going for him as they will go for a big name as it will be a hell of a lot of pressure for the first couple of years living in his shaddow.

Really not sure about OGS, think we are all just going with our hearts and hoping it will work out like we are dreaming it will, we have all been so bereft of excitement for so long we are begging for it, what ever happens we need to all get behind the new manager and the team and move forward, No one should ever underestimate just how much the feel good factor can help turn this club around and push the team on, this is why a new manager helps the team at first and they get a few wins, hopefully if this happens then confidence will return and with new players we could push on. What ever happens I really think this time Randy will get it right.

Yeah listened to in the car. Great interview and you're right said Johnny Gregs would love the job. Shame the club can't get Bruce Mk2 involved somehow. What a top bloke Ian Taylor is! Favourite post match interview with John Gregory manager of AVFC was when we went top of league at Sheff Wed (was there & Ian Taylor was sat with the fans cos injured)......... the day Bozzy & Yorke starring in a porn video hit the headlines...... Asked what he was going to do about it - JG retorted with a wry smile & just said "Play it on the team coach on the way home what do you think?" Brilliant! Remember this very well, thought it was hilarious at the time, remember there was a song about this incident and Dwight but just can not remember what it was, great times though we were respected then as a team.

Totally Agree it would not work, as proved many times, GT and Dalglish as an example, going back can ruin the respect you had.

Did anybody listen to Ian Taylor this morning going on about why it has gone downhill at the Villa, he reckons its always been the lack of finance for giving it the final push to take us to the top, Mind you he also said John Gregory is going to apply for the Villa Job and he is desperate for it.
