Its a fine margin, Shut up shop and get a point, go for it score a goal, 3 points and get praised. we have spent to long shutting up shop and getting nothing. we need the points and he wanted to continue our winning streak, he gets my vote as if we go down (which I doubt) I would rather go down fighting, can not remember too many wishing we had shut up shop against the baggies when we got the result. Shit happens and we move on to the next game.

Confidence is the key, he is starting to get the mojo back, As TS said the strikers were living off scraps and this leads to serious pressure especially if you are not 100% fit. He is going to score loads before the season ends mainly due to the amount of chances we will create. This will ensure he stays next season as he will be loving life and enjoying playing again. He will also be wanting to see what the new ownership if it happens will bring.

I like the bloke, he is honest, passionate, wears his heart on his sleeve, I think he is going to be a great manager for us.As for being a great tactician who knows but then again maybe he will have members of the management team who help with this.. As for PL his days were numbered long ago, the fact he had no other staff and he did not replace them spoke volumes to me as TS got his staff in very quickly, wonder if it was PL choice or from higher up that he did not get new staff in who would have to be replaced when the new manager came in.

They will be playing the replay 2 weeks before the semi, they are pushing for top 4 so can not rest players, injuries suspensions and fatigue could play a big part here. it only takes Sturridge to pick up an injury and they become impotent. we on the other hand are having players come back from injury. It is not guaranteed that they will beat us, As for Steve G he is not the player he used to be and can be controlled. Would not put it past Arsenal to choke in the Semi either going by form.

Beginning to like this bloke, he is a bit arrogant and full of confidence, could be just what we need rather than the dour negativity of the predecessor, somebody has to get the negativity out of the players and club and change things. We have had too many managers blaming finances and the situation for our performances, Hopefully confidence will breed success this time.

The pay out is minimal compared with going down, the loss of money when we sell our players. The more I think about it the more I believe he will not be sacked, I get the feeling there is more going on behind the scenes than we realise, I think PLs contract was his pay off and thanks from RL. The fact we only had RK temporarily and have not employed any backroom staff could point to a sale of the club in the summer, Delph signing the contract did not make sense unless there is something going on behind the scenes he is aware of, I reckon that we will not see him sacked but he may receive some assistance till the end of the season from another manager. I may be completely wrong but none of this makes any sense otherwise.

watch any third division match and you will see more effort and quality than we have, the players are simply not giving it their all, as much as Lerner has stiffed us Lambert is the main man at fault, makes me mad, the players, manager and owner have let us fans down badly.

I would say that we got the tactics wrong again but I am not sure we have any, Not once did we go down the byline and knock in a cross, useless corners and free kicks, poor defending, no midfield, no movement, no passion, no glimmer of light, Lambert has to go not only for our sake but for his own, he looks a man at the end of his teather and devoid of ideas. Please Lerner do the right thing and put him out of his misery.

The worst thing we can do is drop Benteke, we have upped the crosses we create with Gil and to not play the best header of the ball at the club would be outright stupidity, AW and GA, may be quick but they cant head a ball as well as the beast.

It would not surprise me if we got anything from the next 2 games, they will attack us, our problem is when teams sit back. then again it is more realistic we play well and loose 1-0 in both of them

Look over the season with results etc then yes he should have been sacked and deservedly so, The team selections are still not right, should Gil have started maybe, hindsight is great. Watching today though I honestly believed we would score the chances we made but we showed a lack of composure and confidence, I am as p'd off with the results as the next man but at times today we had a go and at least we looked like scoring.

The thing is though we did play well, we just need to cut out the loose passing and concentrate better, we looked alot better when Gil came on.

It is not his fault we did not score, how many chances do we need, we could not hit a cows arse with a banjo. Baker should of had 3, Teckers at least 2, we had bad luck in fairness and this game is not one to beat him up over, we tried and at times were way the better team and even looked likely to score.

Did you hear that chap on the radio earlier, reckons we won an award, Christian Ronaldo got the Ballon d'Or and we got the couldn't hit a barn d'Or. Don't know if I should laugh or cry. We really are becoming a joke.

Passing and retention football is all about speed, speed of thought and the speed you move the ball, the idea is to pass, move and pull players out of position creating space and shooting opportunities, we hold the ball well but move it way too slow, the players do not find space, this makes it easy for the opposition to defend effectively. until the players understand and implement this then it will not work even if Gil is a superstar. unfortunately whilst AW, GA have the speed to do this they do not have the football intelligence.

Not ready yet, maybe we will cut PL some slack and understand why he does not see him as a starter yet.

The lack of intelligent movement is our downfall, the midfield are blamed for sideways passing but they have no options, Grealish is not ready yet, not strong enough looking for fouls that are not there. Teckers needs a kick up the arse, AW and Gabby need dropping. we have some good individuals but really are a poor team, .

In all fairness our confidence has been shot over the last couple of months, most of us believed that we would be turned over by palace, perhaps that was the thinking of PL and he set us up not to loose, a win was essential for many reasons, The confidence will come back and hopefully we will see this show itself on the pitch, Yesterday was all about getting a win at any cost which we did, what I want to see now is for us to start playing football again which PL has shown we are capable of even if it was for just the back end of one season. Lets see how he sets us up against Leicester, we should be going for it against them and hopefully we will see more than one goal.
