  1. I liked Jim White's comment "we all know about your opinions on the mainstream media", implying he doesn't trust them. Yeah, probably because he's been doing a radio show with you for the past year and knows you're full of shit, you tool!
  2. It was towards the end of last season, so he most likely just got Lansbury's old training gear instead of bothering to get a load of new ones done for him.
  3. Depends how much stock you put in that whispers guy on twitter, but he's claimed we were only interested when we got an enquiry for Jack 6 weeks ago, but that we've not moved forward at all with it since.
  4. Looking at FBRef it seems to have a stat for blocked passes which Konsa is 9th percentile for, which is dragging his overall one down.
  5. I think it's telling that the one team that ever got anything good out of Lingard still weren't willing to pay the price Utd wanted.
  6. To celebrate the release of BT's documentary about the 80-82 team, I expect us on the same day to secure qualification for the Champion's League in tribute.
  7. One of the main reasons, with just one year left on our sponsorships I believe, it would be insane to entertain letting him go. Perez and Agnelli were right about one thing when it came to the Super League, and that's that there are a lot of fans of players rather than clubs, and whilst Jack isn't bigger than the club, we could definitely ride his coattails to improve our reputation and our commercial standing, something that only £80m-£100m would never cover. I saw a reddit post recently asking people who they thought were the most exciting teams to watch last season, and whilst you had a lot of boring answers saying City, the two teams with by far the most mentions were Leeds and Us. We're actually getting fairly popular with neutrals, and Jack's a big part of that, and outside of City fans, I think most people want to see him stay at Villa, which is a massive opportunity for our owners to expand us as a club and our standing within the game.
  8. 33 Days in, Head of Programming quits, other senior staff leaving, some shows with 0 viewers and already planning a relaunch. Going well then.
  9. I saw someone try to claim we've done it just to maximise shirt sales before he leaves, without once considering that would just result in all Grealish shirts being returned and then Villa having thousands of unusable stock.
  10. It was pretty convenient that Jim White knew we'd sold him days after a new contract had been offered to him...
  11. Forgot about that, probably even better evidence against him leaving, as that summer we had actually agreed to sell him until the new owners pulled the plug on it.
  12. It should probably be mentioned that he wasn't in our kit reveal last year, and he admitted himself he wasn't sure what was happening last summer with the contract getting sorted over the span of a weekend.
  13. I bet he'd tell you he supports free speech
  14. Sounded more like a question to me considering what he followed up with. A fast, black country accent is hard enough for native speakers, let alone someone speaking a second language.
  15. Do they have greater capability to offer more? Absolutely, however I reckon we'd be more willing to give him a higher wage and it's currently a situation where he could get £80k+ per week with us, but Arsenal aren't willing to go higher than around £40k-£50k per week. Saka's only on £40k, and their board aren't particularly known for making sensible decisions around transfers, they may just see the shinier toy of Maddison as better than risking it on a kid.
  16. Shit, we should have wrapped it up then, we've lost £11m off the fee since!
  17. Saw a Newcastle fan on twitter point out it has a massive four on the chest and now I can't unsee it.
  18. I think I know who the real culprit is tonight. Lee Anderson defintely watched the game at home the ****!
  19. Yep, that miss could stunt his career. You just need to think back to how good Scott Carson was for us on loan, and the shell of a player he turned into after his mistake against Croatia. It's just irresponsible to throw young players in to pressure situations like that.
  20. How many times do players have to say they get flooded with racist abuse when they make mistakes?
  21. I find it weird that after the players have been taking a knee for well over a year now, and in more recent months, explicitly tied to the fact they get racist abuse after bad games, people are shocked by someone are saying those players will be getting abuse tonight? Why do you think they're doing it? Why do you think they had that social media boycott a few months back? How many times do players have to say they get loads more abuse after a bad game? Of course they're gonna get abuse tonight, because there's a lot of scum who'll pile in, escpecially on social media
  22. This team is far, far, far better than that team. Yes, some individual players were better, but that's what they were, individuals, they were never interested in playing together and outside the starting players, we had barely anyone decent. This current crop i by far the best England team I've ever seen, and it runs a good 2-3 players deep before you're taking much risk on who you play.
