    Well our supposed bid of £25m for JWP apparently pissed them off so they wouldn't do business with us, I can see the logic of adding an extra few £m to Ings' fee to get them back to the table.

    I don't like this press conference thing, no matter how good Bailey could be, it seems like his dad may be more trouble than he's worth. Why can't they wait for the official announcement if it's to say it's all done?

    Oh no, a football agency set up companies for their client that is probably just something to do with sponsorships or image rights.

    Because the assumption is that if we keep him past the age of 28/29 it's likely we would've won something by then to match his ambitions. For me I'd be a lot more comfortable letting him go in a season or two if our progress has stalled, but we're still improving year on year, and if Jack stays a part of that he could well end up with a statue.

    The thing for me is why this season after he supposedly had the chance to leave last year? I would've understood after just scraping survival, but after a season where his injury was the difference between us making Europe and where we ended up that would really disappoint me.

    That is true, but then we did also have a die hard "Villa fan" on here the other day saying Grealish should move and laughing at the ambition of the board that turned out to be a Leeds fan.

    Also around the same time he posted that tweet about another club, someone posted on here that they'd been seeing rumours he was going to Swindon. He clearly just latches on to other "ITK" stuff, just like how he said the Grealish stuff was just agent talk to get a better contract, just after the guy on reddit said it.

    I assume you mean Hale in Altrincham, in which case, that's a 3.5hr drive from where Villa are training and Grealish was in training at least 2hrs ago.

    Hes not, think he's a southampton fan judging by previous tweets. At the very least there's quite a few hoping for the meltdown after Grealish leaves.

    I can beat that, some guy on reddit (different guy to the ITK) has had a game of telephone that started with Ian Taylor's son and claims the contract will be sorted Wednesday and announced on Saturday for the Sevilla game.

    This is it, but you can't really see much. Obviously you'd never condone biting, but looks like the type of thing my Dad would go on about happening in the bottom of rucks 40 years ago. Though most of those "dark arts" have been stamped out now. Apparently some people heard/saw Mostert going up to the ref after this to show the marks with the ref replying that he saw them and it would be reviewed after the game.

    Twitter guff, but apparently media stuff to come within the hour. God, I hope it's over soon, I don't want to be hanging on the end of twitter rumours again for at least 12 months...

    Every photo and video of Jack he seems to have a handler in Villa coaching gear following him around, I'd assume it's one of the media/PR department - or someone under instructions from the club - making sure there's no press or anything getting out, as too much noise will cause a buzz around the place which could disrupt things.

    Especially if the new contract isn't signed, could knock £50k a week off his wages!

    Ah right, just looked it up and realised the Wirral isn't part of Lancashire, which I always assumed it was given I pretty much think of it as part of Liverpool, so it confused me to not see it and I'd guessed what I think is Fleetwood was the Wirral. Makes more sense now though.
