Things to consider; The team is now being built with young players that show potential, We have a manager who clearly plans on being here for a while and building a system, Our better performers have drawn attention based on their performances, notable Benteke and Weimann. Coming to Villa would be good for his career as he'd probably get first team football, be part of something that could be special or in failing that, has a platform that he stands out and can command a large wage in a year or two if he performs.

If it was the Mirror or the Sun reporting this it'd be debunked. I don't think there's much in this at all, he's away on international duty and will probably sign an improved deal on his return. If I'm wrong, we get a ton of cash but personally I think he's happy to stay with the team.

If we could go on a cup run again and maybe actually win it this time that'd be pretty good. Especially with a growing team, expanding the squad with more young quality for a European run would be brilliant! I'm guessing this is the kind of momentum Lambert is aiming for, I really don't think we should be snubbing the EL like MON did. What 3-4-3? I mentioned 3-1-3-3 which would become 4-3-3 which we've been playing recently....

If Lambert sorts the defence and tightens it all up then I'd love to see some full on attacking formations. I know he played 3 at the back this year and it didn't go so well but when you have Gabby, Weimann and Benteke up front it makes sense to play offensively. Like I said, tighten up the defence and play something like a 3-1-3-3 with the DM covering in a CB position when we don't have the ball (I actually think Clark would do well here). Obviously this would all depend on the quality and form of the players next year. I'd like to see us in a top half finish and it's possible since there's such a big shake up at the top of the table next year. United could have a shocker for all we know, City as well. Everton could struggle without Moyes and Liverpool will probably have another some good some bad season. Like someone else said Stoke are looking like they're done, Fulham might struggle unless they get off to a flying start. They really counted their eggs to early this year with the 40 points and that could have cost them. Looking forward to crazy season over the summer and the start of 13/14!
