  1. If they can defend them then surely there would be reason in their argument.
  2. My point was more to do with consistency and it taking a few years to build on it. Imagine Moyes took over Everton and had to gut the squad AND compete on a shoestring, how do you think he'd have done? I doubt it would have been much different from Lamberts reign here.
  3. The good and bad about Moyes - is that I think he would more easily work with what Lambert leaves, than say Laudrup, - The bad thing is his Everton team were very poor for long periods under his reign....they were a very ugly side......How much better than Lambert is Moyes...... No more than a Hunch but incognito's tweet about a new chapter - the word Moyes just jumped into my head is this a serious question? To be honest, Moyes' first few seasons at Everton weren't very consistent. 7th in his first season, 17th the next., then 4th then 11th. After four seasons the finishing position began to stabalise around 4-7th place. Given the similar financial circumstances I'd argue that it would take a few more seasons of Lambert before it could be better determined who would be better (Or Lambert is replaced by Moyes)
  4. What does him being Scottish have to do with it?
  5. I missed the starting lineups, Bennett and Bertrand? Bacuna and Lowton?? What formation are we playing?
  6. I don't even know where to start with this one, sorry. Jesus. I have never seen Luke Shaw, Raheem Sterling, Jack Wilshere, Daniel Sturridge etc playing in League One. So you're saying that Samir Carruthers is as good as them? No, just that it's not essential to have lower-league experience. It's also not essential to not have lower league experience.
  7. Could one of the gif masters stick Gabbys miss at the start of that?
  8. Nothing to do with an impressive defensive display by Cardiff then? No other variables than draw=failure?
  9. On another day we'd have ripped them apart. Turner was in good form and deserves MOTM, he done a great job. Gabby should have scored. Marc looks good, confident and stronger.
  10. Decent player that will come into his own as he matures. You can't fault his workrate and enthusiasm, I've always liked Marc. Just like Gabby, he's Villa through and through. I can't see him getting huffy or handing in a transfer request, loyalty that the game is losing these days.
  11. How did Peter Withe get on as a manager? Lambert proved himself at Norwich (Villa fans sung his name at Norwich before he was appointed). Why are people trying to change history? we sang his name because we had McCleish and i think there was a rumour even then that we might be in for Lambert. I would have sung the name of *insert worst manager ever* in preference to McCleish at that time. So, McLeish in preference to McCleish then?
  12. MON grew up not too far from there....
  13. If we have Bertrand next season, along with a fit Okore. Our backline could be pretty solid. That makes for a good attacking line, decent defence and a tidy up of the midfield. I think Okore should really wait until next season to come into play but maybe a few 10-15 minutes worth of subs near the end of the season would also benefit him.
