  1. None of the above! Painful it maybe but PL deserves more time. Judge him in 6 months but not now.
  2. Good post in general although I would add a centre half to the list. Today wasn't pretty but at least it stopped the rot. It wasn't the hammering some drama queen predicted but the players are clearly lacking in confidence hence why the decision making is poor. Again sections of the crowd chose to boo at half time - hardly likely to instill confidence is it? Weimann is this season's scapegoat despite assisting Gabby's goal. No wonder we are better away from home.
  3. Judging by the negative comments on here I can safely say I'm in the minority by predicting a 2-1 victory for us. Weimann and Gabby to score. Let's hope the negativity remains in this topic and doesn't manifest into the crowd today.
  4. Nothing against the lad but I'd hope that with all the income from 20+ years in the premier league we would have a better standard of player than him in the first team squad.
  5. Hopefully Baker and Luna aren't on board.
  6. I can't stand his attitude, comes across as being very cocky to me, plus I think I have more natural ability than him, it's embarrassing that he's our no.10, everyone's got different opinions I can't stand his attitude, comes across as being very cocky to me, plus I think I have more natural ability than him, it's embarrassing that he's our no.10, everyone's got different opinions Wiemann has been credited by this and previous managers for having a great attitude. A friend of mine played with him when he was out on loan and also backs up what has been said so what evidence have you got to back up your claim?
  7. Maybe it's simply because he's a young player who's having a dip in form?
  8. Another centre back is imperative. Vlaar and Clark are a good combo, but I have little confidence in Baker. I've no doubt we will start scoring goals again and I would like to see N'Zog back when he's fit so a midfield enforcer to add to the centre back please!
  9. Thanks HH, VillaAndLoyal and TRO for well written posts. It's a shame many good points could be missed amongst all the bickering.
  10. He's a decent finisher. Would be interested to see his conversion rate.
  11. If fit Gardner should be at least be on the bench. There wasn't one player on the bench today that could've changed the game. For their many faults at least N'Zog and Ireland are capable of that.
  12. Difficult to remain posititve at the moment. Players aren't doing the basics. Another shitty Christmas looms.
  13. I think the same can be said about one or two others
  14. Needs loaning out because at the moment he's of no use to us. Not good enough to start and unfair to expect him to shine when all he's getting is 15 mins or so in a struggling side.
  15. I know the average footballer isn't likely to be a member of MENSA but i'd say that lot won't have a GCSE between them.
  16. Me neither. 11 days doesn't leave enough time to regain match fitness!
  17. Nope, every forum is full of complete idiots Nope, every forum is full of complete idiots Thanks!
  18. I'd much rather read the views of HH than trawl through the continual point scoring, post count adding bickering that seems to have hijacked a number of threads at present.
  19. Dear Fascist Bully Boy Give me some money you Bastard May the seed of your loin be fruitful in the belly of your woman Love Villa Fans quite apt considering our policy regarding youth....
  20. BJ, Ive agreed with a lot of your posts recently. Surely you must understand that Lambert took the approach he has precisely because funds went not available?? He wanted Sissoko - too expensive, He wanted Kiyotake - too expensive, Apparently he wanted Lukaku and Barry - too expensive His only option was to sign younger players and be forced to play a style that although not esthetically pleasing is effective enough to retain our premiership status whilst the books are balanced. The fact he has no money is bullshit but he is trying to make the best of the situation, expecting that in the medium term pursestrings will be loosened This is a problem of Lerner's making - let him carry the can not Lambert who his doing everything he knows to put things right Agree, lerner is 100% to blame in my opinion. I actually think Lambert would be dangerous with a decent bit of money to spend Where does this faith in lambert come from? I agree that theroot of our problem is under investment by Lerner but where is the evidence that lambert has the potential to be a great manager IF he had the money to spend? In defence of Lambert, he transformed an under performing Norwich team with arguably poorer players than he has now. Given time and a decent transfer budget I still think he can do the same for us.
  21. I'm still backing Lambert but some of his decisions baffle me. Last week at Fulham Bacuna was getting run ragged but he didn't change things round, likewise today with Luna. He can't be blamed for stupid errors like Baker and Luna giving the ball away which resulted in 2 goals but he does need to react quicker because tactically he is showing his naivety. Lerner needs to open his wallet in January and Lambert has to play hardball with him to get the funds to make significant changes.
  22. Apart from his goal at Arsenal I've seen little from him. Once Bennett is fit it's time to bench Luna.
  23. Lerner is an incredibly private person so this may be one of many such donations he has made.
