The false nine occupies the position of an out and out goalscorer until his the ball comes to him or in his vicinity and then drops off his marker into the space between midfield and defence. Paul Scholes was a trequartista for most of his career (later on he was employed as a regista, like Pirlo). villa4europe Posted August 12, 2013 Share Posted August 12, 2013 it looked almost like we went 4-4-2 with him and CB up top and gabby / andi playing as proper wingers we didn't really have much of the ball or do much with it whilst he was on though id say he's close to the 1st team, hard to know what PL will do with his subs yet though, CB will more than likely carry on even if he's having a poor game, the 4-4-2 could be used or bringing him on to play AMC, either way he looks decent, got some nice touches, haven't really seen him in and around the box in a goalscoring position yet though, think the cup game will be when we get to see him properly 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
