We've been poor recently but getting rid of Lambert now would be a ridiculous decision.

As Mantis said, just because you don't want Lambert gone doesn't mean you can't see our deficiencies. Ridiculous black/white thinking.

Just back from the game after another ******* horrendous performance. After another depressing 7 hour round trip it is becoming increasingly difficult to justify on any level these trips to VP.

Lambert is clueless and many of the players he has bought are equally clueless and simply not good enough. His strategy of buying cheap lower league and foreign players has not worked.

We are not going to be relegated but Lambert and his team of clowns masquerading as coaching staff have neither the nous or skill to turn this bunch of misfits into anything worthwhile.

Apart from 2/3 months we have been very poor for most of Lambert's time as manager. He is just lucky that he followed the disaster that was McLeish. At another time the fans would have been calling for his head.

That's exactly what a lot of people are doing now though.

Agreed, anyone taking the job following the car crash appointment of McLeish was on to a guaranteed winner with some fans!

Why would it be "ridiculous"?

What do you see that many don't? Are we getting better? NO.

Are the players he bought getting better? NO.

Are his tactics improving? NO.

its like going with a woman after she has just finished with Mr Littlus Dikus who suffered both with erectile failure and prem ejaculation. Whatever you do will look and feel good to her.

Apart from a pile of shit that turns out dross week after week what have we built?

I feel for lambert. Not one of the first 10 outfield players today could be described as 'in form'.

You can talk tactics and formations, but form and confidence is is the key.

You can argue it's his job to try and inspire confidence, but anyone who's played the game or any other sport knows, ultimately you have to work through it yourself. Unfortunately we seem to have almost an entire squad in this position.

Nobody is 'on their game' at all, with the exception of Delph and possibly Vlaar.

Sacking Lambert now would be completely moronic.

Those who say he should be sacked but offer no alternative choice of manager because "it's not their job" should stop calling for him to be sacked as that's not your job either.

this, this, a million times this.

You can't say 'get rid' then completely avoid the question of who'd you get to replace him. It's pretty funny though :D

What he has built now is going to need rebuilding whether by him or somebody else. One things for sure though whoever does the rebuilding is going to need better backing than Lambert has had, certainly in terms of wages, otherwise we will end up with much of the same as we have now. Which in terms of a squad is as poor as I can remember.

What has he built but a house of straw!

Despite some believing that this squad has future potential, the reverse is more likely. There are no leaders, the midfield is weak beyond belief, our defence is woeful and our strike force have forgotten how to score. This is the house that Lambert build and the big bad wolves can blow the **** down at will!

Why, is there some unwritten rule that only you and a select few know about that says fans can't be disgruntled with their manager and call for him to be sacked unless they have a replacement waiting in the wings?

Sacking Lambert would be moronic ?....and ignoring all the work he's done ? Please quit with the happy clapping and hopeful jocularity. Clark, Baker, Westwood et al are completely and utterly out of their depth. As is the manager who doesn't have a plan B - actually the plan A isn't great either.

I keep hearing how we are improving from last week / month / season.....NO WE **** ARE NOT !!! This is a team that have had a real lucky start to a season where even the big teams are still feeling their way, we are still atrocious at the back, anonymous in midfield and Sunday morning standard up front. I'm still not sure if Lambert's transfer policy is based on either having no money to spend or him thinking he's a real clever ****.....either way it's not working. One way or another, a change is needed because this shite we are served up every week isn't acceptable....
