Any chance of getting one of these bad boys before Xmas now? If so, where? I have got a Xbox one pre ordered but after seeing how the reviews have panned out im coming back to Sony.

Pro Evo 6 on the PS2 was fantastic. I never played it on the ps3 or xbox 360. You could argue Pro Evo 4 was better.

pro evo 4 the best then 2 for me, I remember playing 2 for the first time and being amazed by the dribbling.

New shipments coming in the 15th, I'd keep an eye out for quick deals online or check stores for stock around then

There won't be a next gen. Not recognisable as a games console anyway.

What do you think we'll have instead?

I really can't see them changing a winning formula too much. They'll have done away with disc drives, integrated even more multimedia functionality, more support for things like streaming to tablets, and possibly even move in to 'On Live' style streaming - they'll love that, anything to stop you owning what you've paid for - but I don't see the games console going anywhere.

That's true, and is why Titanfall is so important for XBONE. Never been a big fan of FPSs, but if ever something could get me interested it's big **** off mechs. After all, the genre needs a bit of a kick.

For the PS4, I guess a proper trailer of Uncharted 4 would go a long way, but tbh I think SARPBC 2 could win the 'war' single handed...

Why will you need a console if everything is streaming? What value will it add? If I'm streaming my games, why will I want a console?

MS have already shown their hand. They want to own your entire entertainment. Gaming will just be a (small) part of that.

I guess it gets in to semantics; what is a 'console'.

I think there will still be an expensive, locked down box sold by Sony and Microsoft to allow you to play games, whether the gameplay is rendered locally or not.

Where else will you stream to? Directly to smart TVs? I can't see it, TV manufacturers would want a cut of the profits.

It could be a service offered to pretty much any internet capable device, but I don't think Sony and Microsoft want that either. The technology will be there, it is already in a lot of places, I just think Sony and Microsoft will try to extend their stranglehold on gaming to the entire living room, which is the direction MS is already going.

Why do you think that only MS and Sony can dictate the future?

If there's a future for consoles, it looks like Steam. Indie developers on open platforms. You don't need anything more than a dumb streaming box (like Now TV) to stream a game to a TV and they cost a tenner today. There'll be a market for specialist controllers and the like, but most casual gamers will use tablets.
