sne
Unless we can find a to use Football Manager language young (16-18) "wonder kid" i only think we should sign players who we expect will walk straight into the starting 11 from more or less day 1 in this transfer window. Bying a 23 year old CB (who is vertically challenged) from Hull is just more of what we already have and a would at best improve our squad and not our starting 11. If we get relegated this guy might be a good shout, not now
Mattyp_avfc
All I keep seeing is people saying he's a short arse or he's too short ..... AND? He might have a good amount of upper body strength and a good leap on him..... Let's wait and see before chastising a player who many of us haven't even watched!!! GarethRDR
Well, a bit of snooping around various Hull City forums reveals the general reaction to our alleged interest is either 1) "**** the hell off" or 2) "£10m plz". Seemingly rated by his own fans, at the very least then.
Swerbs
I can't take Hull fans seriously after seeing that tiger chant.

abdomlahor
He was on loan at my local club Carlisle a few seasons ago. Saw him play a few times, and he was absolutely solid. Scored a few from set pieces as well I seem to remember.
GarethRDR
Thanks adz. Have you been keeping up with his progress at all? Do you think he could make a fist of it in the Premiership or would it be a step too far?

Mantis
Didn't you know Gareth? Only players that are in the Premier League or have played in the Premier League can be classed as quality. All others are automatically poor until further notice.
Big_John_10
If he's good enough and helps improve then its a good signing. Has any other club managed to achieve success signing the majority of players from the lower leagues? Everyone seems very happy about this approach as if no other club has ever thought about it. There are clearly the odd gems and potential quality out there but it seems unlikely we will somehow find them all.
CI
The point is, he'd be a gamble, are we really in a position to risk anymore lower league players ? Or is the strategy to sign players we won't have to move on if we go down ?

Big_John_10
I think it's clear some players are more of a gamble than others.
CI
So a proven PL player is a gamble in the same way a totally unproven lower league fledgling is ? Have you been paying attention since August
Morpheus
So this is the type of quality we're going to buy in january. No surprises.
