Valhalla
British competitors do us proud in every other sport, and footballers remind us all why they are dicks.
Ingram85
We lost a football match on penalties you say?
Brumerican
Not too fussed as the Olympics should be about the other sports . Proper football is only 2 weeks away anyway.

dAVe80
We might be good at running, jumping, throwing, rowing and pedalling, but we still can't take penalties.

It would have been nice to win a medal in it, yet I'm not too fussed on it as an Olympics sport. It's more like an outside Olympic event as none of the stadiums for it are even in the Olympic Park. villarule123 Posted August 4, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 4, 2012 **** the football, that Mo Farah race is the best race I've ever seen. Ecstatic.
PompeyVillan
Not even losing on penalties can take the shine off this. You see how much these Olympics meant to the other GB competitors and compare that to our useless footballers. Cycling should be our new national sport. Brumerican
Should have excluded the football and put 20 different darts events in. We would be top of the leaderboards.

mjmooney Posted August 4, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 4, 2012 That was some day, wasn't it? The footballers were to today what Paul McCartney was to the opening ceremony.
snowychap
Yes they were, although not as loud as they should have been... I guess that's an answer to my question - in which case, well done to the S Koreans.

I am starting to hate football culture.
